Hello fellow AR15 enthusiasts,
I just launched a Kickstarter campaign for the world's first 1:1 Colt M16A1 Poster. Price for early birds is really very low! Of course, worldwide shipping is provided. I let you take a look at it. Thank you for your kindness and support. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mapharmes/the-black-rifle-1-1-poster Jonathan |

Cool, if I had a room dedicated to such things I'd definitely be interested.

Don't be an ass on GD. Not illegal in France. They have a shitload of the. Back in the day they had to be in 222 Remington or any non military calibre. Not sure if that part changed. @3DOkie, did the law change regarding the 223/5.56NATO? |

Hello,
Thank you for your messages. The AR15/M16 is not forbidden in France. This one is a full auto, 100% original Colt M16A1, near mint, owned legally by a French collector. Thank you all for your support! |

Ever hear of the kid who got kicked out of school for taking a potato chip and making it into the shape of a gun. I think he slowly carved and painted it from a large potato chip. |

The OPs first post on ARF was EPIC he took and posted some amazing photos of some classic firearms!

OP is a cool dude and now an industry partner to support our site.

I try to propose exclusive, unique photos to viewers. The Art Prints I generally propose are Museum quality, but very costly to create. This poster, while of very good quality too, and printed in France, can be proposed to a much lower price, while being far larger, too. I also, by my photography, try to have people seeing guns as I see them. I already got people not interested in firearms looking at them in a completely different way! Jonathan |

Open dust cover.. it’s your funeral pal….
As always awesome pics OP. Edit : I would watermark your picture OP especially at the resolution posted. I have unfortunately had IP stolen from images posted on this site show up on T shirts and stickers about 2 weeks later. |

You are correct, but honestly, my photos are all over the internet (even in a Canadian printed book....) without any authorization from me...I even saw a polar cover using one of my photos! Many thanks again. |

Quoted: So a historic flag is the same as using a smearword to somone. Gotcha. But you can surely provide me a cool avatar, right? View Quote Anyone can get butthurt over a word, a flag, or any other thing. It wasn't long ago that a staff-initiated discussion took place over the sound that Maglites make when smacked over a given demographic's head. The point is, GD is as GD does. If you come in here, knowing full-well what GD is like, and get offended by a word so badly that you hurl an insult at them, then maybe there's a bigger problem. I don't know just how many times I've been called a Cherokee princess, but it's GD. I'd rather be here than some of the other gun forums that are "kinder" and more sensitive. |

Seems like kind of an extraneous issue for a thread where a dude who's worked it all out with the site is trying to sell a real nice print of a rifle that shouldn't cause any controversy here. If you guys need to stab it out there's always site IM. |

@MAPHARMES
Of the 4 poster options, which one is of the complete rifle and hand signed? Also, have you contacted Ian at Forgotten Weapons to perhaps collaborate with him considering his love affair with French arms? What else do you have on tap? If I may suggest, how about a 1:1 with the Armalite pattern carbines used in US service, all the way up to the M4A1? For instance M607 >>> XM177E1 >>> XM177E2 >>> 653 >>> 727 >>> M4A1. I recognize the 607 and 653 would probably be difficult considering they are difficult here, but ya never know! |

I’m in for it be signed copy. OP has skills and knowledge worthy in my money.

In for a signed copy. Your work is great, this will look great framed in my home.
|
|
|
Neat, but that's a big frame($$$$) unless you're cool with using Scotch tape or thumb tacks.
Not shitting on you OP, because I think it's great work, but I think maybe, perhaps later if you offered a reduced size, you could possibly sell more? You know, kind of this would fit in my office, man/ Woman/ person space, and the end user could make a decent collage of I like this, hate that, Ooooh that's sexy! Just a thought, missed out on the special but still kicked € 20 your way just to make sure this happens for you/us. |
|
I don't really care about the A1, but you have some beautiful photographs on your website. Very nice work.
