If it's not thread topics, it's the death by a thousand cuts of our best members whose political ideologies don't fall in line with the Ministry of Truth's group think.

The recent passing of Bradders, has really brought home to me personally how many great members this site has driven away.

The pattern is clear and irrefutable, the pattern of banning only helps the leftist blue_troll agenda.

This site is very quickly becoming a socialist gun website. That is something that I want nothing to do with. I don't even consider myself a conservative, I just don't want to associate with socialists or socialist sympathizers.

I first discovered this site, in the early 2000s. I read the content on here for 4-5 years before I even got an account to begin posting with. I wasn't drawn to this site because of guns. Frankly, unlike many here, firearms for me personally are a very small part of my life.

I was drawn to this website because of:

1) The members and their amazing depth of knowledge, varying opinions and life experiences / advice.

2) The free exchange and analysis of ideas, concepts and theories.

3) The humor and banter that we once COULD have with each other.

4) The sense of community we once had. Let me explain this, there would be members calling each other some awful things online when they disagreed, but like the grown men we are, we would be over it 15 minutes later and helping each other with a build, or listening and advising each other about family or work problems.

It's a fact a life that men bond with each other through conflict. Some of the members I like the most are guys I got into some really heated debates with. Men lose their cool every once in a while during heated debates. That's ok. That's all part of the process. We can't do this anymore because someone catches a banhammer in the bootyhole for something very benign and healthy.

The incremental censorship over the last 10-12 years has destroyed almost all of what makes ARFCOM, ARFCOM.

We need less rules not more.

Unless something massive is done to alter the course of this website, myself and a huge number of other members will be gone.

I will have nothing to do with a socialist gun website.

Do you know why Bradders got banned? Certainly wasn't over his political views.

He'd snuck back and was posting here pretty openly, or at least I knew who he was but figured he was pretty sick and ignored the whole thing.

Place went down hill when the photoshop request threads turned more into "Tag, this ought to be good." rather than actual participation.

ARFCOM GD reminds me 100% like Twitter.

I made a few forecasts about what is going to happen with Brownells calling the shots now...1 of them at least I know of has already happened.

Seems like there is a growing want for a place that was like GD...a decade ago.

I figure ARFCOM is going to make a place where that can happen or someone else will.

I don't give a fuck either way, but I'm waiting on one to happen.

I love El Paso. It is our goal to move there. The people of El Paso are great and the city is awesome.

Beto made a comment about the people of El Paso and the city, I posted here that I agreed with him...GD went full retard on me.

I joined because 1911forum said they were getting rid of their GD forum and someone posted this site had one. The one time I had asked to shoot an AR15 at rifle match for high schoolers I was told it was only for girls

Dang, calm down OP and give it a couple months to stabilize. I think it's a little bit of a perfect storm scenario where there's been some need to take out the trash for awhile, partially hampered by a need to update the COC etc for awhile and then as soon as that is close to being implemented behind the scenes the Brownells thing goes down, the NRA craps their pants and all of libtardia decides to erupt all at one time. Gotta let some things shake out.

We've been losing good people for years in GD. Sure, there are people that push the rules, but that's what keeps this place interesting. I'm sure when they are selling advertising space, they push how many views/posts per hour this site has. You know where most of those are?

To be fair I think this thread has potential to contribute to that volume.
