Key prices:
2.7L EcoBoost- $1,895 Sasquatch Package- $4,995 If you add the Samsquanch package, the 2.7, and a hard top to a four door base model Bronco, the resulting MSRP is $43,075. Anyway... have fun. |

I've never really wanted a new Jeep, but I'm really tempted by this Bronco.
Off to cyber-build one... |

Dang. I built a manual transmission Badlands version that comes in right at $50k.

Quoted: True, but the target demo for that package is Jeep Rubicon, not F150. So the question needs to be what does a similar Rubicon cost? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Damn. That's nicely appointed F150 territory there. True, but the target demo for that package is Jeep Rubicon, not F150. So the question needs to be what does a similar Rubicon cost? That makes for an interesting comparison. A JLU Rubicon with the 3.6, the 8 speed, the hard top, and no other options is $48,085. So, that configuration of the Bronco is ~$5k cheaper, and it has a lot more firepower under the hood. If you don't get the 2.7, it's a ~$7k difference. The flip side, though, is that the Rubicon isn't a base model vehicle. It has a lot of toys the base model Bronco won't. Is it $7k worth, and does the individual buyer want all of those things? I think Ford was really smart to make the Sasquatch package a package instead of a trim and to offer that package on all trims. |

I’d rather have an FJ
At least it will be worth something when it makes it to 200k |

3500 dollars for a wireless charging pad is just a little bit too much.

I just played around with it, the Wildtrak with a few desirable options MSRP came up to $54K. That is too much for what it is IMO.

Quoted: Junior Bro-dozer View Quote Jeep trails are maintained for Jeep sized vehicles. I can't take my F-250 to some locations because of it. And I definitely can't take my HMMWV to many locations because of it. A smaller but capable vehicle fits the bill nicely. Hell, if Subaru sold their Outbacks/Foresters with high/low gear transfer cases like they used to do in Australia I'd be all about that. |

$35k for the base with the Sasquatch package. Not bad at all.

Quoted: Damn. That's nicely appointed F150 territory there. View Quote Bronco was always expensive. In 1996 (last year for the Bronco) the Eddie Bauer bronco was over $40,000 - that's around $65k+ in 2020 dollars. The base model Bronco was about 50% more than the similarly equipped F150 that it was based on. |

Playing around, I think the one I'd look at is a Big Bend with the 2.7, the hard top, the Mid Package, and a rear locker which comes with 4.27s (no Samsquanch).
That comes out to an MSRP of $42,610. After the first year, if there are incentives like every other Ford, that's going to be tempting. |

In general terms, you're probably right. But, I bet if you go line by line, the Rubicon has some content the base Bronco does not. It's probably mostly smaller things like dual zone climate control, but it's there. And it's almost certainly not worth the $7k price difference. It's time for FCA to get off their asses and go to war. They need a different packaging/pricing structure, and they need optional 5.7L Hemis unless that rumored turbo I6 is going to get here damn quick. |

is a base 4 dr with no options too basic and handicapped or is it still capable? what are must have options to get? i imagine there will be aftermarket parts , so you can just get all the options you want later.

View Quote There's no way I'd buy a 4x4 with open diffs. You need some form of locker or LSD on the rear. For the Bronco, the 4.27 locking rear diff is a $795 option. If you're not going to go full Samsquanch, at least get that. The other thing I'd say is, if you plan to get bigger wheels and tires and other stuff that comes with Samsquanch, it'll just be cheaper and easier to get the Samsquanch. I also don't really view the 2.7 as an option you want to skip, and it's not all about the power. The 2.3 is an aluminum block inline 4 with direct injection only. The 2.7 in a compacted graphite iron block V6 with dual injection. That upgrade is ABSOLUTELY worth the money. |

Some of the configurations don't make sense. Want sasquatch well you have to have mud tires. Want sound deadening can't have 2.7 eco. Other things that just don't make much sense to me.
At any rate - built a Badlands and it came out to almost 60K. Base plus about 13K in accessories. |

How many concurrent users do you think Ford's network/computing infrastructure is spec'd to handle, and how many people do you think are on that site today? I'd bet their build and price stuff is seeing 5-10 times as many users as usual right now. |
