Yeah I was tied up today most of the day. I do think Kavanaugh is experienced, smart and motivated, whether that's enough to overcome being smeered.... View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

Dammit, I was hoping for a solid stupid sound bite from Spartacus.

Yeah I was tied up today most of the day. I do think Kavanaugh is experienced, smart and motivated, whether that's enough to overcome being smeered.... Quoted: Ford testimony was wishywashy, couldn't remember anything, R's hid behind the female attorney asking questions. She poked some holes in Ford's story/testimony but nothing major/game changing. Ford also didn't bring to light any new evidence or testimony or anything that could be corroborated. Kavanaugh came out swinging, gave a very emotional and powerful opening statement. Female attorney asked some hard questions, he isn't super definite on answering about not remembering stuff when drinking (but he has answered the same question multiple times). D's rip into him about the FBI and his yearbook, stupid stuff. Fights it off OK. R's starting with Graham go to bat and call out the D's for this sham, calling this entire thing a character assassination and disgraceful. D's continue with the FBI chant and drinking to excess. Grassley finally steps up and trys to stomp out this FBI strategy. Ford- no major mistakes, small holes punched in story. Kavanaugh- strong opening, balks at some questioning, hesitant to answer definitively on a question he has answered multiple times (which he was definitive about in his opening statement). BK should be good if things keep going like this. |

He is tearing that hag from California apart View Quote She asked why he didn't want an investigation. She said that it is very important when something like this comes up that it gets investigated. He should have said "yes, I agree. So I'm curious why once you find out about this you did nothing'. |
