I kept a can of beanie weenies in my frag pouch. It was an altogether different method of explosive in terms of employing the device and it's casualty radius but had no lack of lethality all the same when I used it.

The reason we don't have stick grenades is that we have grenade launchers to cover the distance between the average throwers ability to throw and coverage by 60mm mortars |

It increases the range & flexibility of the M67, and there are no procurement expenses to the taxpayer, and no need to T&E and approve a completely new grenade that does exactly the same thing - possibly worse. The M67 is perfectly fine. |

I'm pretty sure the reason we don't use a stick grenade is not only the carrying problem but also the fuze. The grenade fuze that the United States uses is the same basic design since WWI. Stick grenades used a completely different design that is simpler but probably inferior and I'll bet leads to more misfires. And the fuze after all is the most important part of the grenade. Why fix what isn't broken?
