They border the greatest parts counterfeiters on the planet, have pallets of $ and will be continuously bought off in the near future. It's a huge FU to the USA to keep those UH-60's flying.

I have a friend that posted this picture a while ago (now deleted) that said there were lots of executions happening in Afghanistan right now. He's a Retired Ranger and I have no idea where he's getting his information (and I'm not saying it's accurate) but I wouldn't be surprised.

I'd watch the video. That dude looks dead.

You guys realize that we sold China Blackhawks, right? I don't think spares will be a problem.
|
|
We should just implement a three week campaign where we sweep the skies of anything flying and all other equipment gets destroyed on the ground.
The only exception should be equipment that the new Northern Alliance would be able to utilize. |
|

Well I'm pretty sure some, or most of the people our military trained to fly, and maintain those aircraft are now working with the talliban.
Hell we trained the telliban to fight the Russians. |

I never liked him, I never trusted him. For all I know he had me set up and had my friend Angel Fernandez killed. But that's history. I'm here, he's not. You wanna go on with me, you say it. You don't, then you make a move.

But but. My liberal scumbag cousin said it was total misinformation that these terrorists could have any type of Airforce at their disposal

View Quote He's just up there by himself, I guess he coulda waved at folks on the ground. We had 4 of them up a few times, waving at folks on the ground, some of which weren't too happy about their MJ getting chopped up by machete. |

I was expecting the helicopter to not actually be flying during this.

Quoted: They don't know how to maintain them. They won't be airworthy for long. View Quote That's true. There were Afghan pilots, but the air crews were pathetic. Plus, they don't have access to the parts they'll need nor the ability to manufacture them and replace them themselves. All those aircraft will be rusting away in a year's time. Although some of the Russian helicopters may stay operational for awhile, but very few. |

Here's to hoping they combine a hanging with an unintentional beheading

Quoted: Taliban? fuck no. You just don't get in a UH60 and fly it around like driving a Hummer. Traitorous evil ANA we taught to fly the damn things yep, there ya go. They will be broken down and not flying in a matter of months. No parts and no maintainers. We should just bomb the entire lot of them out now to stop that crazy shit. View Quote Hey! They are just Americans that haven't got here yet. |

How easy is it for some uneducated goat farmer to jump in one of those and fly it without proper training?
|

If we could train them to kill communist then they might be worth something.

This is probably going to be a reverse African homebuilt helicopter story. Maybe. |

Quoted: It's not. But it's easy for an ANA pilot trained by the US to fly one at Taliban gunpoint. View Quote No gunpoint involved, The ANA pilots just switch side. All of them switched sides, they was just in it for the paycheck. The talliban had 20 years to plan this out and get people planted, and trained. |
|
Quoted: If you told me at the start of the invasion that just before the 20th anniversary of 9/11 the Taliban would drive America out and be flying around in Blackhawks I never would have believed it. I thought the US backed Northern Alliance had the Taliban on the run in the first few months and it would be over in less than a year. View Quote Wrong rules of engagement. |

Those who believe the taliban won't figure out how to fly the UH60's, and won't be able to repair them, find maintenance techs, or find parts, are delusional. Even so, having 30+ UH60's won't make them any stronger, but it's a damn good PR win.

Quoted: I am sure they can get them started and fly them. The real test will be to keep them flying. American military helicopters are maintenance hogs. The big mistake is the US Military was it didn’t strip out the stability augmentation systems or at least corrupt the software. View Quote I heard they're all running windows 95 now... |

That’s infuriating to see. |

Push it to the limitWalk along the razor's edge
But don't look down just keep your head, or you'll be finished Open up the limit Past the point of no return Reached the top, but still you gotta learn how to keep it Hit the wheel and double the stakes Throttle wide open like a bat outta hell You could crash the gates (crash the gates) Going for the back of beyond Nothing gonna stop you, there's nothing that's wrong So close now you're nearly at the brink So push it, ooh yeah Welcome to the limit (the limit) Take it baby, one step more The power game's still playing so you better win it Push it to the limit (the limit) With no one left to stand in your way You might get careless, but you'll never be safe While you're still livin' Welcome to the limit (the limit) Standing on the razor's edge So don't look down just keep your head, or you'll be finished Welcome to the limit Push it to the limit, hey! |
