You would get the better end of that deal.

What's wrong with the 2011s?

Every gen of the M3 gets larger and heavier, the E9X M3's are tanks.  Nearly 4000 lbs.

They lost the no frills spirit that made the M3 fun and it's no longer a small, nimble coupe.  IMHO at least.

No, with the exception of the M cars new BMWs are a little blah. When they seriously started talking about making a front wheel drive car I knew they had jumped the shark.

Probably the reason why the price of the E30 models that are in good condition are steadily rising and it seems like even the E46 is commanding more money than it was a few years ago.

E30 M3's are ugly cars, like air-cooled 911s.

Styling was an afterthought, they look like they were thrown together in somebody's basement.

For people that like older German cars, its all about function=fashion.  Like industrial art.

The newer German cars are too flashy, too fashionable.

Gotta go with no.  The 507 by a long shot then followed by the Z8.  I like the old 3.0 and the 2002s also (one of my college roommates had a 2002 Tii).

What´s wrong with him? Shoulda married you already

But then, new cars aren´t always better cars, judging by the amount of time my co workes brand new cars spend at the dealer to get fixes...... I´ll Keep my  10 year old 4000$ e46 that holds up fine (and Looks like new = 10 years in a Garage, not even driven when it rained outside = good find) versus paying god knows how much for a newer POS.... so can´t fault your SO at all, sorry for ya.

You probably made a tactical mistake in buying him those angel lights for Christmas, now he´ll Keep it even longer....
