Jack Black in King Kong. Hell with the exception of Naomi Watts that entire movie is miscast.

The all-time worse in Hollywood history had to be casting Henry Fonda as Pierre in King Fidor's 1956 rendering of Tolstoy's War And Peace. A central theme to the novel was Pierre's heavy weight, "stoutness", and bull/chinashop awkwardness. Fonda was tall, skinny, graceful, effeminate. Absolutely ruined the movie.
