Had one just like this but blue and white, 1988 K2500 4x4 long bed.  It was my grandfather’s that he passed down to me.  By time it got to me it was blue, white, & primer gray form paint flaking off lol

Took two pages for the correct answer.

I have an 83 GMC 2wd SWB

Dad has my grandfather’s 95 GMC 2wd SWB

If I found a clean 95-98 SWB ext Z71 I’d get it.

But 67-72 are prettiest

Favorite? Probably not but they are good trucks. I loathe just about every newer truck.

And unless you’re posting old power wagons, Dodge has never made even a decent looking truck.

Dodges have always been hideous

Ahh......Chevy trucks.  On a quiet night you can hear them rust.

OP must have never saw a RAM, or some of the Fords.

I had a dark blue regular cab 1988 Chevy step side 2wd,
It had bfg  31x10.5x15 tires.
Mine was an 88, not a 92 so it had different headlights, not actually 4wd, dark blue, , and had different wheels, but otherwise identical to this
V6, 5 speed. Awesome

I always thought these were cool but all ove them needed a 2”+lift from the factory

I miss my 99 1500, whomever thought of the A/C vent to the nuts under the steering column is a genius. I graduated to 2500 HD's afterwards.

SWB = Short Wheel Base

Ah, I was wondering what a "short wide bed" was.

Common vernacular and almost no one uses it as Short Wheel Base.

It is Short Wide Body and Short Step Side. No one uses Fleetside to describe a short wheel base truck. No one that matters anyway.

Obviously it is regional

But what dimension is "Wide" in reference to?

Was there also a "Narrow" model available to choose from?

That’s some "Double Wide" terminology right there...

You had wide beds and step sides. The step side beds were a lot skinnier on the inside.

Definitely better than the ford of the same generation.  That said, I like the Fords of the prior generations as well.

5'5" truck truck beds are just not right.

Neighbor had an extended cab Z71 in dark blue in the mid/late 90s.  It was the sexist thing I had ever seen, and all I ever wanted in life.  That was before crew cabs became the norm....

Squarebody FTW, but I love the OBS trucks. I was looking at those and the very few 2 door full sizes for sale out of curiosity a few days ago and prices are beyond insane for something in decent shape now. Would love to have one of either.

Bought a brand new loaded Silverado extended cab back in '95. The perfect year for Chevy trucks... new interior; pre-Vortec.

Best truck I ever owned.  Still kick myself for selling it.
