I haven't had one since they cut down on the sizes and amount of peaks. But I guess they finally switched it back to the original.

back in 2009 one of the side quests of my visit to Belgium was Chocolate.. I think I spent about $100 on it just for myself LOL. The other was Beer :-)

So wait a minute.... You are trying to tell me that chocolate made by Tang, the orange crap drink company, is special? I am supposed to buy chocolate and moon over chocolate made by Tang?
It isn't even the astronauts chocolate like Tang was the astronauts drink. |

American chocolate really does suck unless you pay for the good stuff.

Quoted: Man, I could eat a Toblerone right now. Haven't had one in probably a decade at least. They were a rare and amazing treat when I was a kid. I am literally tempted to drive to the store JUST to buy one. Which one do you like? View Quote Probably my favorite candy bar. I love just the standard one....delicious. |

Quoted: Quoted: The USA is amazing at an incredible number of things. Truly the greatest nation on the planet. Chocolate, however, is one notable exception. See's candy. You're not wrong, but you can't usually get that stuff in a regular store. Europe has chocolate in corner markets that you have to go to a boutique candy store to get here usually. |

When my sister lived in Switzerland for a couple of years the Toblerones IN Switzerland cost more to buy than the ones you found abroad
The firm that makes the chocolate, the Tobler brothers, did a lot of good work with the Allies in WW2. Not too well known |

I love their chocolate.
I bought a big ole' bar somewhere overseas: Singapore, Hong Kong, or Bangkok. Somewhere with hot Asian women in thigh lenght skirts. I wanted to eat it on the long 87 hour flight back to the US. I entered customs, declare nothing, and get stopped for a random search. Cute lady "busts" exporting too much chocolate and points to the chart with the limitations. It was just one of their big bars. I ask the customs officer can I just throw the bar away. She says no that I can keep XXX number of newton mole grams and that if I just eat the end of the bar she thinks it will be OK. Thank you officer. I peel the thing open and bite off the last triangle. She smiles and sends me along. |

Meh.
If I'm going to eat chocolate a Kit Kat bar is just as good if not better. Payday candy bars are better than chocolate. You all sound like my wife |
|
Did you know....that Delta is putting mini Toblerones in their snack baggie sometimes, in lieu of the biscoff cookies? That was a happy surprise. It had been a while since I had partook!

I haven’t had it for a long time. It’s pretty good stuff but my favorite chocolate is Ritter Sport Alpenmilch.

My sister in law visits from Germany every so often. This last time I had to ask her NOT to bring me another 40 lbs of chocolate. It was killing me cause I'd eventually eat it all. But my favorite is the rum trauben nuss.

The gold one and the white one were great. In the great depresion of '08 there was some scandal that they made the bar smaller but the box was the same size or some shit like that without lowering the price. I have not bought one since.

I love the ones in Europe and Israel, the American version just don’t taste as good.

Quoted: What is this stuff? View Quote Good Swiss chocolate with a bit of nougat, honey, and almonds (tiny pieces). It is an excellent chocolate treat. Many grocery stores and pharmacies carry them. Lindt milk chocolate is also an excellent Swiss chocolate. It will melt in your mouth. Oddly enough, Big Lots usually carries bars of these for a very good price. My favorite is the Albert's/Moritz Ice Cubes chocolate candy. They melt so easily that you can only buy them in cooler months. If you ever eat one you will become instantly addicted! |

Damnit. I haven’t had one in years, and I just added them to my grocery list. This place sucks.

If you make me a pipe I’ll buy you loads of Toblerone. That way I can smoke it before the civil war starts.

Is “Regular “ in the yellow box? Cause that’s the one. Good stuff.

Toblerones are awesome. We get those at Christmas time. We usually have a ton of german candy and chocolates on hand also.
|
|
Yeah, I like them..... Regular... Dark...White....
Damn you...Now I want one... |
|
I chose regular. I like Toblerone, but Lindt is more better.
|
|
When ever I see a Toblerone I think of Lichtenstein.
Cause I was there the last time I ate one. Anyone have a more obscure place you’ve eaten a Toblerone? |
|
Every Christmas
Love them since living in Europe. Wife finds a way to get them to my stocking. Go good with Dal Whinnie! |
|
Sweet Jesus, I haven't even HEARD that word in fifteen, maybe twenty years.
I want one so badly now! DK-Prof sucks. |

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Is that like a Hershey's chocolate bar or something? The USA is amazing at an incredible number of things. Truly the greatest nation on the planet. Chocolate, however, is one notable exception. The interesting thing about chocolate is the Cacao tree and cocoa is a New World plant, though 70% of it is grown in Africa today. I grew up eating Toblerone and just bought some recently at BJ's. |

I remember first seeing them at a Eckard drugstore in my small hometown in North Carolina and the mid-80s.
I don't even remember what it tastes like anymore. |
|
Damn now I have a sweet tooth and no chocolate anywhere in the house.
