Whoever said Top Gun needs to shut their whore mouths
That was one of my favorites growing up Other than the volleyball scene |

The second MI movie was crap. But Cruise still didn't phone it in.

I literally just finished watching Oblivion. Love his movies. I think he's one of the greats.

A friend of a friend worked with him on one of his movies. I'm told he is a very respectful guy to all of the people working on the set to the point of knowing their names. Everybody liked him.

Minority Report
Vanilla Sky War of the Worlds Cocktail (except for Elizabeth Shue) Minority Report SUCKED. I like a lot of his movies though: Born on the Fourth of July (IMO, some of his best acting) Top Gun Jack Reacher Oblivion Edge of Tomorrow |

Quoted: Capitalism, work ethic, and a bit of luck(to break into hollywood) has been good to his bottom line. Big congrats(and he knows how to keep his wealth). He did a football movie with coach years back, his fantasy film legend put him in a different type of role, lol. His pudgy self as a teen maybe with messed up teeth in Taps, he was intense!!! But he got some 60 time so many years ago :) I look forward to his future roles. He lands gigs in the big flicks where cinematography, mood, lighting, music, etc. matters.. Tropic thunder, it was mid movie before i figured out it was in that role, funny stuff. View Quote A couple of friends of mine who are brothers went to Valley Forge Military Academy when they were filming Taps, they actually stayed for the summer session just to be there while they kept filming. They said that Tom Cruise and Timothy Hutton were cool as hell to everyone, but Sean Penn was a total dickhead. They were hating Sean Penn long before most, because they actually had to be around him for a while. |

"You left the volleyball game early. I was getting worked up checking out your glistening, sweaty muscles. And then you left. You're a damn tease, aren't you Maverick?" |

Rock of Ages.
Tom Cruise cannot make a musical. How ever, Jack Reacher is one of my all time favorites. |

analysis of Eyes Wide Shut DVD
eyes wide shut comments NSFW TC is an actor; they do what the director directs them to do. EWS is not a simple story, but a complex symbolic dream Kubrick uses to April fool/spoof the audience. |

Lions for Lambs
Maybe it's because I can't fucking stand Meryl Streep. |

He does appear to be a really hard worker and great actor, but it is sad scientology got their hooks on him (his money) and profited from his success.

I've seen Vanilla Sky about 10 times. It is great. Cruise is a loon but after movies like Oblivion and especially Edge of Tomorrow, he's about my favorite actor.

http:// My opinion of T.C. has changed a lot over the years. I consider him to pretty much be the best actor out there making films today...What defines it for me is when I see his movies I actually see the guy he is playing on screen, I don't see Tom Cruise playing a role. He also seems like a stand up guy based on his reaction to this video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DONrKwEFgbE View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Say what you want about Cruise's personal life, but that little bastard knows how to make an entertaining movie. Try to name a bad film in which Cruise was one of the two main actors. And by "bad" I don't mean simply "below average." I mean "a steaming pile of shit." http://i.imgur.com/A5v2PYF.gif My opinion of T.C. has changed a lot over the years. He is bad shit crazy, from what I can tell, but a great actor. Then there are others who every time you see them you are reminded how they are idiots, hypocrites, racists, or anti-gun. Cruz is just a great actor. Can't think of one thing I didn't like him in (if it's my kind of movie), and he seems like he would be fun too. |

The transition from being on top of the world to dancing in a bar with a Mike Myers mask on the back of his head is wonderful. Who else could have pulled that off? Oh, and, "Good. Because for a minute there I thought we were talking about A FUCKING MASK!" |

Born on the 4th of July. View Quote If you're saying it sucked because it was rebellious hippy bullshit, then I agree. But, Tom Cruise WAS Ron Kovic in that movie. It wasn't a shitty movie because of Tom Cruise. I read that Cruise lived in a wheelchair 24/7 for an entire year to prepare for that role. Apparently he also owns a period correct P-51 Mustang and flies it on a regular basis. |
