Does anyone keep a gun in their toolbox? I’m thinking about picking up another G19 to put in my box.

For extra stuck bolts with rusty threads? Just shoot them off?

Looks like an instagram toolbox. Literally no wear on the tools. Speckle finish floor is immaculate. Try again.

Doesn’t everybody have a gun drawer?
I got one drawer dedicated to mp5s, one dedicated to FALs and a drawer for m60. |

I was thinking about this the other day. I currently have my lcp ii in my toolbox in the garage. I plan on changing it out for a p80 G19. I have a four year old so I have to be careful with where I keep it.

Sure do, unless you work in a place guns are not allowed. Years ago I had to actually pull mine out, this one asshole thought he was going to beat up our service manger. Seeing a gun pointed at him convinced him that he better leave right then.

I kept a .45 in my toolbox for a few months after an emotionally unstable coworker made violent threats when he got canned. The guy was totally off his rocker…

Will the bullets go missing too? |

Clean up the dings and scrapes, blast and parkerize it, add a lanyard loop to a different set of grips (I don't like the grips in the article) and put an Aimpoint on it. I know, I feel dirty just thinking about it. Whoops, forgot the link: https://gunandsurvival.com/2021/07/15/fighting-revolver-project-smith-wesson-model-586/ |

Carry a G19 when not at work but it’s not really feasible to AIWB a 19 while leaning over cars all day. So P3AT in the pocket while at work. Occasionally I’ll lay my 19 in my drawer but usually it’s in my Maxpedition man purse |

Found a used G19.4 and put an ARC comp and an extra threaded barrel on. Along with an agency mag well. Plus a 30 rounder just in case. Forgive the fact that my box is in the middle of my garage, I’m putting pegboard up on that wall right now. |

Literally every bolt on any American car or truck made in the last 20 years is metric.. Construction equipment and hydraulics is where you’ll still see standard sizes. Hence why I have 87 million different wrenches. |

Not allowed to at work. Insurance crap. The no gun signs on the doors are 15 years old and barely legible but I still have to sign off on our handbooks every year that says no guns. Owners are good gun folk. Not worth loosing my job over.
Old shop yes, 12 years ago. I had an ar held to the inside top of my hutch with magnets with a 20 end mag. Then a couple of 30s in the box. Also had my edc in the box. Our tires sales guy who closed with me had a pocket gun in his back pocket and a 9 mm compact in his waist band. A couple of tire shops around us including some in our chain had been held up right at closing, owners sent a memo out to everyone specifically reminding everyone that there were no company policies against guns. Those of us that closed took that to heart and left in a group from then on. Local police had a cop in the doctors off ice parking lot next store most nights for a while too. |

Get this shit, I'm sharing my toolbox right now. I took my gun out of it last week.
My new tech is a guy I've been friends with for years and he worked with me almost 15 years ago. I trust him 100% with my tools. We'll get him a rolling cart in the next couple of weeks. No way I can fit his box in my single bay shop. So far, so good. I basically live in front of the computer now or busting tires. Pretty ironic for a shop owner and master tech for 25 years. |

FAA might frown on a firearm in the SIDA area. Wish we could have a firearm in our toolbox. We have a middle eastern coworker that is constantly watching 9/11 videos and saying "Allah Snackbar" as he watches the towers being hit.
A coworker got called on the carpet by HR for giving the muzzie a load of shit over his antics. Now we just totally ignore him. He is finally getting the idea that he is a persona non grata in the hangar. Everyone keeps an eye on him though. |

I had the same box in grey. (KRL1033?) My current one is just a different drawer config. I kept getting irritated at the number of skinny drawers. None of my tools would fit height wise. Sig 229 in my box.
Have worked in several shops over the years, about 1/3 of the mechanics had toolbox guns that I knew of. From .22mag derringer to shorty 870s. Had a manager give me shit once. Said he was worried that he would piss me off and get shot. I picked up an18" pipe wrench and told him that he wouldn't get that lucky. |
