It is also correct to say that Trumps relatively short border fence --that he is bargaining away conservative ideals with (deals for citizenship and dreamers)-- won't solve the immigration crisis. If Mexico loses one of their main sources of income-remittances-and that money stays here, Mexico paid for the wall. Trump is promising deals to illegals here for his short fence. Lol, rofl. Holy crap. Holy crap. Trump is offering dreamers and illegal immigrants deals. Do you think that they will send less to Mexico as an American citizen? Lol, rofl... Here is Trump exact words FROM 2016... Donald Trump says he would force Mexico to pay for a border wall as president by threatening to cut off the flow of billions of dollars in payments that immigrants send home to the country, an idea that could decimate the Mexican economy and set up an unprecedented showdown between the United States and a key regional ally. In a two-page memo to The Washington Post, Trump outlined for the first time how he would seek to force Mexico to pay for his 1,000-mile border fence, which Trump has made a cornerstone of his presidential campaign and which has been repeatedly scoffed at by current and former Mexican leaders. The proposal would jeopardize a stream of cash that many economists say is vital for Mexico’s struggling economy. But the feasibility of Trump’s plan is unclear both legally and politically, and it would test the bounds of a president’s executive powers in seeking to pressure another country. In the memo, Trump said he would threaten to change a rule under the USA Patriot Act antiterrorism law to cut off a portion of the funds sent to Mexico through money transfers, commonly known as remittances. The threat would be withdrawn if Mexico made “a one-time payment of $5-10 billion” to pay for the border wall, he wrote. “It’s an easy decision for Mexico,” Trump said in the memo, on campaign stationery emblazoned with “TRUMP Make America Great Again!” Under Trumps current plan, remittances are not being threatened... In fact, they are safe as ever... |

The employer of Mollie Tibbits killer originally claimed, and it was reported in the news, that the employer had used e-verify. It has come-out later that is not true. The employer had not used e-verify on the killer. I sincerely hope the employer is held accountable. Which goes to show how horrible the system is. How there is no real accountability in the migrant labor system. Some immigrants are legal-- on visas through e-verify, some (I have a family farm in Idaho, I can vouch for this) are American citizens, and many are illegals. The system is horribly wrong. And Trumps "fence-for-amnesty" plan won't solve the underlying problem: employers. Mollie Tibbets example is an example to show that Trumps demand for a "wall" (~300 mile of fence) is political sleight of hand. It is sleight of hand to take folks attention away from the driver of illegal immigration: employers. Employers and welfare. Trumps, "fence for amnesty" plan is a bad plan. It is just as bad as Trumps plan not to hold Hillary accountable, and Trumps plan not to over-turn Obamacare, and Trumps plan to criminalize bumpstocks… Trump does not actually have a "good" plan. View Quote I don't know how anyone can possibly argue with the crystal-clear numbers... Businesses drive illegals here for work, there is no accountability, vast numbers stay... Next year, repeat... Year after year... You folks asked for evidence. The evidence was provided that is crystal-clear... I don't know what to say... The relatively short fence in exchange for more rights to DACA and possibly even more... Won't fix the problem when the problem is employers who are bringing them here... I think the links and numbers I provided show a clear-cut argument in my favor... But it is typical of, "take the guns first" Trump followers to see clear-cut evidence... This time it contradicts Trumps "wall" (lol, rofl) plan for amnesty and DACA expansion... And question it... |
