A U.S. District Court on Monday ordered Energy Transfer LP to shut and empty the largest pipeline from the North Dakota shale oil fields within 30 days, in a big win for the Native American tribes who have fought the line's route across a crucial water supply. I'm sure that won't remove tons of local commerce and ruin the economy in the area.
Nope. That won't backfire on those who were bringing the suit. Not at all. |
|

Then it’ll be transported by rail. Raise costs a little but it won’t stop shale. Fuck ‘em.

Rupture the pipe with explosives and flee the country.
Give those asshole communists nothing but ashes if they win. |

I wonder if Warren Buffet is footing the bill for the plaintiff?

Two years later;
"So uh, since these lands belong to our People, that means we can have this abandoned pipeline, right?" |

So infrastructure that gives Native American jobs is getting destroyed.
Reminds me of how in Africa there was a town where power lines were cut down, electric pumps confiscated etc. and good buildings torn down so the area would look primitive for German tourists. Didn't matter how much the locals objected. |

I'm only ok with this...if they remove all the water, sewage, and gas lines from homes and businesses, and cut all the pipes in people's homes. If pipes are so dangerous, no one there has any business using them. They can use buckets and jugs and tanks to transport water/sewage to/from their homes and tanks of propane for gas, or whatever. Ya know what, go ahead and cut the gas lines in all their vehicles and drain them as well, if it saves just one
...blade of grass, or something, it's worth it. |

The Natural Gas pipeline from WV to NC was just torpedoed too. But hey, it's all for the "good" of "society" because global warming is real and this will save lives.
So wear that mask while you freeze to death. |

The oil companies need to route all of the oil trucks though the judges neighborhood 24/7 365.

There will be an injunction prior to the 30 days and an appeal.
There was in fact an environmental study. |

Quoted: Judge on the opec take View Quote If so, then what's stopping the appeal? News article failed to address the appeal "option." I didn't notice the source of Op's news article. It wouldn't have been NY Times??? The article sure seemed biased in favor of the shutdown order and failed to indicate that the govt. will file an appeal and how things could work out in that event. Instead, they only extolled the idea that the pipeline is shutdown, end of story, BS. |

Quoted: District court. I would expect an appeal. View Quote I thought the same thing. I noticed that the article seemed biased in favor of the shutdown and was written as if it is a sure thing. It completely ignored the fact that everything is not over and that an appeal could change everything. But, then I noticed that Op's "news" source was Fake News NY Times. Why the Frack is Op pushing propaganda from NY Times???? How disgusting. Might as be getting Fake News from Infowars total BS site. |
