Quoted: Like I mentioned before: I thought we would be immune from the chances of 1984 becoming true. China has shown just how wrong I was. Their control over information of any kind is near 100% perfect and there are no pesky records needing to be pulled out of circulation as nothing is printed on paper and electronic records can be changed with the push of a button. Frightening. View Quote Dude you don't have to look at China, just look here. It's in the process of happening here now. Almost easier here, just get Google and Amazon to go along and you're practically there. |

Quoted: Yep. I think the Party allowed for the creation of these wealthy sorts as a vehicle to siphon the vast wealth of the West. Once that is complete, their wealth will be absorbed and they'll get the bullet near a trench. View Quote I agree. It's not the persons money, it belongs to the state. |

Judging by the writeup under controversy on Wiki - it seems that she has a history of displeasing the CCP. Crimes include wearing a dress that resembled the Japanese military flag 20 years ago, and being lambasted by the communist youth league for hiring a Taiwanese director who was allegedly for Taiwan's independence.
Also first search on Brave yielded this, lol. Attached File |

Quoted: Why did you initially think we were immune from a 1984 type society? View Quote Easy: The internet was unregulated and people could voice their opinions and could counter lies spread by the government. That is quickly changing as we see web hosting companies all of a sudden taking sides and actively censoring things they don't agree with. The speed with which that has happened is also frightening. |

View Quote The net has gone from unlimited freedom to the ultimate tool of censorship and oppression. All with a couple of clicks of the key.. When this is done we will look at 1984 and be like, damn I wish it was only that bad for us. I think im being optimistic saying that to... ugh |

Basically it's pretty much China not wanting any single person being more popular than Xi Jinping. If you get to popular or too rich, then they'll find a way to erase you. Just China being China with their perpetual thin skin syndrome. China simply doesn't care how rich you are, they'll find a way to erase you or incarcerate you on a trumped up charges. Good example is this guy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Dawu Chinese billionaire that criticized CCP and sent to prison for 18 years on some generic charge they use on dissidents. |

We are talking about "deleting" human beings as though they never existed - and you think it's funny. I pray none of your family, friends or yourselves suffer a similar fate (for whatever reason). |

Frightening. Why did you initially think we were immune from a 1984 type society? China is unique in terms of their internet infrastructure. It is entirely centralized and government controlled. There is absolutely no way the same could happen to the internet in the US. It literally isn't possible. Censorship can still happen here but not the all-encompassing memory hole effect that can be done in China. |

Delenda est CCP.
Wuhan should have been glassed in retaliation for a global WMD strike. The CCP apparatchiks torn from their homes and set on fire. Xi publicly paraded through the streets of DC before his trial. Our descendants won't know enough to regret that it didn't happen. |
