Quick question before I search CoC.  Can we post the picture of the guys that had the weapons?

I tried that once and it didnt work out to well.

As long as you put a "graphic pic" warning before it, tons of gory shit has been posted.

I'm editting with paint a little....only the finest in respect for the guys that killed my friends you know.
Uploading is taking forever.
Here's the other TL in my squad with win x 3
2 enfields (No 4 Mk 1) and a Russian AKM  IIRC it was a mid 60s with Tula markings
and that is a broken bobcat in the background that the army airlifted to us as a cruel joke I'm assuming.  The hescos and sandbags are filled the old fashioned way

Here's the guy that's just taking a nap...that let us pose with his weapons, his friend left a blood trail love trail into the mountains and is probably still rotting under some rocks hanging out drinking tea.

This dude gets mad style points.  Afghans love to decorate shit.
He had a sweet PKM, a makarov (can't find the pic), they always have cell phones  (nicer cell than I had) and handheld radios.

It's a shame "extreme violence" isn't allowed, I have pictures of 16 guys that walked into the most successful ambush in the history US forces in the Korengal Valley and perhaps Kunar province...that was an amazing night, my buddies in a different platoon put a hurting on em.  We were listening to enemy radio traffic ––- dudes were telling their wives goodbye and saying they weren't going to make lol.  Our platoon saw guys fleeing the area....2000lb bombs at night are fucking sweet.

ETA:  There were many a bakelite mag recovered from that incident. (7.62x39) Handgrenades, radios, RPGs, Hajj didn't get a shot off.  Also, the platoon we replaced found an AK 74 in a search of someones house equipped with mags, LBV and a radio.  The ANA commander took it as his own (no pics).  Apparently they really like the 74s (probably a status thing).  The ANA also like the Lee Enfield rifles, they wouldn't use em but they really dislike the enemy having them.  They told us that they can deal with the enemy spraying rounds but when they take those single bolt action shots....it does suck.  Contrary to popular myth the Taliban are not dumb.  Many can't shoot for shit but they surprised the hell out of me with their coordination and organization.

Official policy is FUCK YOU SOLDIER YOU GODDAMN PIECE OF HUMAN SHIT.

You can't take back anything.  People no shit got the bullets they were shot with taken from them.  No brass, no bullets, NO LIVE AMMO, if they find 1 round of 5.56 in your gear somewhere when they xray it you will go to jail (saw it happen to a guy in our cav squadron at customs).  No maps (even if it's just a normal military map with nothing special marked on it).  No pictures of dead guys  some of the guys said they were searching computers but I was at the end of the line and they had to search 20 people in 5 minutes to get on the plane.  They do a full body scan of your person (the high tech kind where they can look at your pee pee), they Xray your duffel bags, rucksack, and assualt pack.  Then they make you empty your pockets, and dump your duffel bags, ruck and assault pack and verify that your bag is empty, and sift through everything setting it in a "cleared" pile.  No pieces of shrapnel, no dirt, no rocks, not pieces of wood at all (they are strict on no wood, not even something carved) because of some timber trading treaty lol...

Going through customs left me more offended than anything I've done in the army.  Pornography is banned to, no bringing in country or leaving with it (on computers too...)  Our guys at COPs and Firebases live like animals half the time (i got 4 or 5 showers in afghanistan the whole time...and this is 08-09) but there is millions of dollars being spent to make sure I don't take the 7.62 bullet that nearly took off my dome piece home with me.  FUCK ME.

ETA: so yeah, no weapons parts, you can get creative and hide them i'm sure but its not worth going to jail...they give less of a shit about finding guns in afghan houses (they are NOT allowed to have them btw) than shrapnel in a GIs pocket they was taken from his chest.  THe only guy I know that smuggled back a round that the army didn't know about was the 7.62 in his spine...yeah you heard me right, the army didn't know about it.  I guess that's army medical for you, They saw an exit wound and didnt bother to check if he got shot also in the belly button (to be fair to the army he didn't know at the time either but he almost died.

My ETS date is the 13th of this month.  The army won't be keeping me.  I had some of the best times of my life but putting up with the bullshit isn't worth it.

The G3 pics reminded me that some dude on HKPro somehow managed to get authorization to get a some Iranian parts back and built it into a semiauto G3.

All true, except I've never had my pee-pee scanned... that I know of.

Rant 10/10

I'm not looking forward to trying to bring my P-mags back.

Not uncommon for Iraq but everywhere else in the world, yes.  I took an Iraqi madeTabuk sniper rifle to the range a few days ago.  What an piece of shit!  Look at the groups.

My M4 did a lot better.  I slowed it down for the last 2 groups.  It's hard to aim at a 1" square from 50 meters with an EOtech.
