I had a female engineer is my work group that was drop dead stunning.. she was a 28 year old perfect Brazilian specimen. The guys constantly covered for her bs, mistakes, being late..she would come blasting into a meeting she was hosting..and come in with wet hair saying g she got put of the shower and blah blah blah...everyone would laugh. If I came in 15 mins late and it was all C level people in the room..I would be walked out and executed in the parking lot.
She would get exhausted just getting down under her desk to plug in her phone |

There is social, economic, spiritual and health consequences to being a disgusting fatbody. If you're ok with those costs, good for you.
If not, stop being fat. We're not obligated to use kid gloves to spare your feelings. This goes for all the DEI bullshit. We're turning into a society of enablers, and it's cultural suicide. |

I've been in the workforce for over 40 years and I can't recall one obese person that was an outstanding employee.
Fat people lack motivation, discipline and the physical capacity to excel. |

I've know slim in shape people just up and died for no reason (pre covid) we had a marathon runner who ran around the station every shift. Until one day he died from a heart attack at work. Cancers, diseases ect effect everyone equally. I know skinny people with diabetes also. Not saying in any way weight can not effect your health.
But I've also know people who were 30 to 50 lbs over weight, not obese. Who were active and in perfect health and lived to be very old. I think genetics plays a lot in a person body size and health more than anything. As a matter of fact the very first questions we ask are family history with patients. Think about it, look at weight lifters they weigh way more than they should for body size. That extra weight even though it looks good does put a strain on the heart. Also when we ran in the unit I was in those muscle bond guys had a lot harder time running and doing force marches. Because of the bulk. Our phase was lean and mean. I really do not know. I have seen both of the above who were lazy, did not dress very well and who looked unprofessional. I kinda judge people in business based on dress, how they held themselves, knowledge of product. There are quite a few over weight doctors, surgeons ect...who are great. I don't know I think some people should worry more about themselves than other people. But that's to easy. I hate gossip btw and my wife does not do it with me. I'll stop her and say idgaf. It's none of my business. But this is GD though. I had to re-up my DEI training this week. Besides the obvious and mundane complaints about the instructors / authors being / looking exactly as your stereotyping cisgendered ass would think, it was the typical total waste of a day.
New things that stood out: 1.Trannies. Trannies everywhere as part of both the sexual harassment and general harassment sections. 2. Fat shaming. Or rather 'body inclusivity' in the general harassment sections. Spent a surprising amount of time on this one. 3. "Otherism". I at least learned a new term so I guess it wasn't a total waste of time? At least I'm good to go for another year or so. |

Quoted: in other fat news: Lizzo Sees Record Sales, Streaming Numbers Collapse in Wake of Sexual Harassment, Fat-Shaming Scandal Among the allegations is the claim that Lizzo — who has consistently promoted her own obesity as beautiful and a form of empowerment — fat-shamed one of the dancers after she gained weight. The dancers also claimed Lizzo took them to a strip club in Amsterdam where she allegedly had them take turns touching the nude performers, catching dildos launched from the performers’ vaginas, and eating bananas protruding from the performers’ vaginas. The former tour dancers — Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez — filed their complaint on Tuesday in Los Angeles. Since then, Lizzo, who has denied the allegations, has seen her problems only worsen. The attorney representing the three former tour dancers said he has been contacted by several more women who have similar accusations. In addition, a former documentary director for Lizzo has come forward saying she “walked away” after two weeks because of the singer’s behavior. Throughout my entire working past I have always noticed that obese people are just less able to perform because moving around is harder for them. Thus they will be lazy about anything that requires movement. They also get worn out much faster which also leads to mental decline from the start of the day towards the end of the work day. They will let things slip because they're worn out.

obesity is linked to brain shrinkage and memory deficits. View Quote Boston University School of Medicine reported that healthy, middle-aged adults with increased abdominal fat tend to have slightly lower overall brain volume. In particular, the hippocampus, a deep brain structure sometimes called the brain’s printing press thanks to its role learning and memory, was significantly smaller in obese people compared to leaner individuals. I don’t respect fat people, period. And definitely don’t take them seriously in a professional setting. If they lack such respect for themselves in certainly not going to invest any fucks doing so.

Just another fad that's pushing the idea the being a Hatfield porker is a healthy thing.
Just like with smokers and other that live a "lifestyle" that is unhealthy. Eventually it catches up with you, and when they have to call a tow truck and an flatbed to get your ass of of the house and to the hospital because you can't breathe and can't get out of you bed... We all pay for this in higher health care premiums. Others are right there should be a porker scale for health insurance and airline seating. |

I knew an Italian girl that went to school in the USA for college and started putting on the pounds. When she returned to Italy the reversed occurred. She didn't diet, she just ate normally. The Italian food was of such high quality and tastes so good it fills you up and you can't take another bite.
There is also a theory that because Italy does not fortify flour and other foods with minerals and vitamins fewer calories may be absorbed. Kind of like when people had Pellagra (vitamin B3 - niacin deficiency) from eating a predominately grain diet, they could over eat and still lose weight because they could not metabolize the calories. Same goes for farm animals eating grain diets. If they do not get vitamin supplements they will not gain weight. |

Quoted: I had a friend at my last job who was ridiculously good looking. Piercing baby blue eyes. Girls there were openly infatuated with him that would get dudes frog marched out the door by HR if the situation was reversed. He was competent at his job but was known to be lazy and consistently delivered projects late. When the yearly department review came up every girl, including the lesbian who told me she couldnt look away from his eyes, went to bat for him to keep him on the team. people want to be "buddies" with the people they hire. Nobody wants to be seen with fat people. It's not flattering.
