Soon, Walmart will quietly pull the stuff from the shelves altogether.

Theft will go up which means the item will no longer be stocked.

wife works for wally.
They were making statements every hour over the PA ysterday " We stand with black lives matter" This is in a rural Va walmart. lol |

I went to Walmart yesterday and the front of the store had this speaker on, with some prerecorded speech about how Walmart supports BLM and all that liberal crap being played over and over again. Is this happening in other Walmarts across the country too?

Quoted: Gee, wonder why they got locked up in the first place? View Quote I’ll tell you why. As an ex employee that worked third shift for two years while in college.... They would steal the shit. Daily. I would find the boxes empty all over the place before it was locked up. Locking it up had this magical effect....it stopped. Then perfume became the next item as well as cologne. |

Just put the items in a basket on the main aisle with a sign that says "FREE TAKE ALL YOU WANT !"

Quoted: People don't think statistics be like they is, but they do. View Quote Years ago, there was a CVS on Long Island that was having a problem with shoplifting. So, they instituted a policy that no one under 18 could enter the store unaccompanied during school hours. Well, the usual suspects were all bent out of shape because the store was just a few blocks away from a high school with a predominately black student body. When I read a newspaper story about it (in the local liberal rag), I found it interesting how the article tried to glance right over the fact that once the policy was instituted, the shoplifting stopped. |

Just raise the prices until you get the profit you expect.
ETA my wife shops at Joann’s and they keep sewing machine needles locked up because I guess they get stolen (around $5 ea.) |

If you are a black or brown person, you might as well just regularly supplement your income with some petty crime at this point.

Reuters View Quote My sister's kid runs a Walmart makeup department and I asked her about this a couple years ago when her Walmart converted their makeup department to the lockup variety. She said keeping the darker tones in stock was really a struggle. They're losing like 10-15k a MONTH on the darker tones, and was sorta hard to keep in stock. There was loss across all tones but she said the darker tones were stolen at something like 10x the rate of the lighter ones |

A Walmart I visit sometimes actually has small 12v bulbs (stop and turn, dome lights, that sort of thing) locked up. I asked the guy if theft was that big a problem and he said he thinks people are sticking them up their ass. I LOL'd but I suspect he has some HR counseling in his future.

I haven’t been to a Wally World that has those items locked up...I pay for my stuff when I frequent that section fwiw...

Either Walmart is racist and had that stuff locked up just to fuck with people with brown skin, or they were having trouble with people using 5 finger discounts on it.
|
|
they'll just charge more for the "white" products to make up for the thefts ....
|
|
I’m sure they were keeping them locked up for no reason at all.

If you don't let them steal this stuff, it's because you're a mean bigoted racist.
How dare you not allow these products to be stolen. |

Quoted: What will happen is third world level stuff where the first aid and beauty stuff is all in a separate area under camera and controlled entrance and exit View Quote That is how the Walmart nearest my house is. Basically anything small and of higher value is under lock and key or in controled entry/exit parts of the store. Cosmetics are all in an area with their own way in/out. Meds are all under lock and key. Automotive chemicals are locked |
