Quote HistoryEvery bolt, nut, screw, etc, gets painted silver with anti seize when it gets reassembled. I also wipe a thin layer of it all over the hub mounting surface before installing rotors. My dad removes his rear drum brakes (96 caprice lt1) and grinds the rusty edge off every time he swaps wheels and tires so he can remove them in the future. I also spray rust inhibitor on the axle nuts and axle threads to slow down the rust on those, so they can be reassembled without replacing axle shafts. |
