The super top secret call center for placing contracts etc...
All the girls / ladies are heavily tattooed and pierced. Dressed in 1950s clothing. Using 1950s technology. All are butt ugly. Makes no sense. I know it's just a movie but whats the point? |

Hipster chick bullshit, to attract hipsters and their bitches to the movie.

|
Not all of them were ugly.
I normally don't care for tatts, but the goth/tatted office chicks were one of my favorite parts. Same for the tatted ballerinas in one of them. Kind of a forbidden / fallen angel vibe. YMMV |

Or why there are 10,000 adversaries and they wait patiently to attack one at a time

Don't want the nasty bitches and trailer trash feeling left out.

It's just the visual.
Like walking in front of the spiral projection. Or the mirrored rooms with the red and blue light. Someone at some point decided that cool movies should make you say, "Huh. That looks cool/interesting/detailed/not shitty". |

Its the cool, taboo, "under side" of society.. or, Flint Michigan

The more piercings and tattoos she has, the more places she'll let you stick it

Because it was the only job available for tatted up vintage trollops.

I'm curious how the gold coin exchange rate works. They can buy anything, or basically nothing of any importance.

They're all outsiders, outlaws, working living beyond societal norms.

If it helps you cope, just try to think of them as the turkey bacon of the acting world.

I think it was a play on how proper and organized the underground society is.
They women were all straight faced serious to work. Yet had all the tattoos piercings and colored hair that would portray the opposite. Same way all the hitmen and killers in real life would seem more cutthroat, but in the movie there is level of respect for the rules they all adhere to. The old equipment kind of falls back into the same ideas of this has been here a long time. It's a system that has been in place and everyone follows the rules, they don't get to question the rules, they follow or are punished. Thats IMO, so it's up to interpretation. But still, it is a movie. |

I don't have any furniture made before 1965ish
It's a style .I enjoy that part of the movie |

Now we know what hairdressers do when they aren't working at Sport Clips.
