I remember having to start an American V-8 with a carbureted motor in a Northern Minnesota winter. Guys would install 2 block heaters - one on either side. |

I miss leaded, 120 octane Chevron Super Custom Plus. It made my engine so happy! I really miss my '68 Rally Sport Convertible that was stolen and stripped. It had a 327 with 300hp Corvette heads and a 600cfm Holley with a 350 turbo with a shift kit and posi-traction rear end.
After that I got a '75 model with a 383 stroker built on a 350 4 bolt main, Holley 650 double pumper on a flowed intake, dual points ignition, Hooker headers, scavenger dry sump with 10qt oil reserves 4 row radiator, 400 turbo with a shift kit and e tra capacity cooler, posi-traction rear end and traction bars. It would pass anything but a gas station |

My grandparents were in no way opposed to coke, but to save money they bought Shasta.
Fucking Shasta. That was some weak attempt at coke. |

Hacking that shit up was a right of passage. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes So like if you needed to adjust the windage on your scope, or the carburetor on your small block, or the flaps on your approach...you'd say something like: "adjust it just a cunt's hair" - and somehow everybody knew exactly how much that was. |

Smoking everywhere. You couldn't get away from it. Can't enjoy a meal while inhaling smoke. Never understood people who actually smoked while eating, unless they were training for a wife who's cooking sucked. View Quote |

As an asthmatic I sure don't miss the cigarette smoke. Don't miss low def TV.
Kinda liked life better before the internet was in everybody's hand, people are alot less sociable today. Didn't mind hairy beaver then or now. Life was simpler with 4 channels on the TV- NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS. People was more relaxed then, ambulance chasers have them to up tight today. What I mean in the 80's nobody cared if you rode dirt bike or quad on them as long as you didn't tear up a hay field. Today everyone bitches about law suits if you get hurt on their property and won't let you ride. I would go back to living in/like the 80's if I could and keep modern medicine. |

How about going to a steak and eggs near a university campus, grab a ketchup bottle for the hash browns and a syringe drops out.
