I was drowning in a sea of anger, misery, self pity and alcohol. I'd had the worst year of my life. I wanted it to be over.
I had lost my job, wife, home, land and about 85% of everything I owned. I also lost a cousin and 2 best friends who were way too young. I moved back in with my parents, who had aged so much, too quickly. I joined Arfcom, finally after having lurked for forever. Hell, I may have joined at one time before, way back, but I never had steady internet. I found friends. Internet friends. And then I've met many of them in real life. Others, we talk or text by phone. I have a little thread here about friends. I hope it helps people. I bring friendship. I now have an awesome fiance, our own home with awesome wooded land, and I have never been happier in my entire life. Praise God. Oh, in my bad year, I kept all of my guns, ammo, fishing and hunting and military stuff. And some clothes and photos. And the love of my only child. It could have been worse. |

I'd hope I make folks laugh, or think with the occasional spicy meme, a funny GIF or shopped image here here and there. Historical perspective or knowledge on a subject. Shitposting, plenty of shitposting.
