I'm not a secret operator type, but I thought the raid on Osama in Zero Dark Thirty was well done.

It was very brief, but I really liked the rim lock the young solider experiences in the beginning of Dunkirk.

He said authentic. I love Equilibrium, but it's not authentic. Too many people flying backwards and doing that shaking back and forth in place thing when they get shot.

I counted 17 shots from Kevin Costners revolver before he holstered it.

The scene where he shoots Nolte thru the diner window was good too.

I've never been able to master mine that well-in shooting or concealability.

The housing projects raid scene in Triple 9 was pretty good I thought, at least the start of it with the room clearing and entry tactics

Band of Brothers was superb.  AS was the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan... excellent accuracy and very well done use of historical firearms.

They guy who posted Gettysburg is also right, that movie was almost fanatically accurate.  The artillery was especially well done.  That and the movie was largely impartial to each side, which is not something Hollywood is known for.  I am sure it will be banned by streaming services for "reasons" pretty soon.

I always liked the scene in "The Longest Day" where the British commandos attack/capture the bridge.
The officer in charge does a tactical reload on his Sten gun and saves the partially empty magazine that he removes.
IIRC he was actually in the English army, so that move would have been routine for him.

The actor you mention was ACTUALLY in the glider unit that took the bridge on D-Day (he was an officer in the Paras): i.e. on D-Day he did for real what he later did in the movie.
In the movie he portrayed his own commanding officer!!

Nah, he had to show off his piece, might as well have been open carrying.   Scorpio knew he had a gun already so it doesn’t affect the story line, but the point is when evil knows where to strike, and takes the initiative, ground gets lost quickly and is hard to recover.  Hollywood used to occasionally display thoughtfulness with regard to tactics. Now it’s mostly choreographed Kung-fu movies adorned with race guns or esoteric collectibles.
