What happens when your city get's nuked:
What if We Nuke a City? |

I could have done without the naive disarmament propaganda at the end.
|

We die. One major military bases and 3 minor bases in san antonio. Far enough away I'll see the flash but probably die in 10-14 days....

View Quote The shitty thing about DC is that it would probably get hit by multiple nukes, as would every large city. I live near the outskirts of Phoenix, but work closer to the center, so I would probably be fucked too unless I was at home when it hit. |

People here might actually have to get out of their cars. It would be horrible for them.

I live 2 miles from a major Air force base in Ga.
It will be quick. |

I live about a mile from a major air force base. Doubt I'd even see the flash.

Judging by Russian accuracy, I live a little over an hour from Bragg, and Seymour Johnson, I’m pretty the nukes targeting them would smack me in the face.

Quoted: If my city gets nuked it means they missed terribly. View Quote +1 The population density is less than 10 people per square mile in the UP and I think the biggest city is Marquette with a population of about 21,000 folks and that's a couple hours away. There's no industry or military bases to target. I think the nearest targets are Green Bay and Duluth which are over 100 miles away. That said I like my society functional. |

I hope my city doesn't get is nuked.
How do you get is anything? |
|
Although accurate, it is clearly an anti-arms propaganda film.

View Quote I'm outside the 50mi zone. Enough time to get in the car and head west into the mountains of WV. Of course if I am at work that day, then poof! its suddenly not my problem anymore. Though the problem is, it would not just be DC. It would be DC, BWI, Norfolk, that little 200 Mile section of the east coast will get multiple nukes enough that the resulting hole will be that the Blue Ridge Parkway will now be an east coast beach. |

I'm a out 50miles from Barksdale. I'll be radioactive boiled flesh for the five legged pigs to eat.

View Quote Yep in this zone. |

View Quote What idiot made that map? If the target is DC, the city, it would be an airburst weapon, which means very little fallout. Plus what fallout there is, is going to blow in the wind, not fall in a perfect circle. Plus why do people think that fallout=i'm dead? Its very survivable. |

Everyone get their nuclear war stiff peckers out, it's that time again.
It's almost like we need a nuclear war room so everyone can fantasize. |

I live 1000 yards off the main complex of the CIA/DIA/NSA post where Snowden did his damage. I haven’t seen an updated russian target list, but methinks that falls under “command and control”.
If I’m here when it happens….well, at least it will be quick. |
|
Learning Russian, drinking excessively and squatting all the time is a small price to pay for DC getting nuked.

I'm wondering if they'd even target Nashville. I don't see much strategy in that. If they did, I'm close enough to go in the initial blast, depending on the size of the bomb.
If nukes start flying, I don't honestly think I'd want to live in the aftermath. I'm too old and soft for the Mad Max lifestyle. |
|
If your city gets nuked, be sure to adhere to COVID19 protocols.

View Quote Lol if it comes to a full out exchange it really won't matter where you are anywhere on that map. Chances are you are dead. |

My nearest city has about 2400-2500 people. It's biggest claim to fame and most military target is the weekly dog days flea market. Other than that, it's about 40 miles to Redstone Arsenal and about 35 to Brown's Ferry Nuclear Power Plant (2nd largest in the country).
So my biggest issue will be the hordes of idiots that didn't see it coming and/or prepare for it. |
