The first half of Jeepers Creepers was up there. Once you see the creature it went to shit.

Well, when I was 15, The Legend of Boggy Creek scared me so bad I spent several nights sleep standing in my tiny closet with the light on.
Alien was pretty intense for it's time.
The original Omen was pretty scary also. |
Barney the Dinosaur. All the screaming kids and their mess was enough to make a teenage boy working at a theater run in fright.

American Werewolf In London and The Thing scared the shit out of me as a kid. Quarantine is the only thing I can think of as an adult that was remotely scarry.
The Perfect Storm
But I saw it at 16 when I started on a commercial fishing boat. |
Amittiville Horror gave me nightmares as kid.
Id say The Ring will mess with you. |
The Fourth Kind
And The silent Hill movies both creeped me out too. |

For me it was the BLOB, when I was about 10. I new what to do in case it came for me though, I had my baseball bat and my Red Ryder BB gun, damn thing was NOT getting through.

The Omen
It is the only horror movie that I couldn’t pull myself out of and say “it’s just a movie.” It dug it’s way into me like no other movie. |

Quoted:
The Exorcist View Quote Even the dog was scared, he heard all the preternatural screams and he was scared the whole night. I could tell by the look in his eyes and tail tucked under. Although The Conjuring was based on real events, all which are documented -- INCLUDING the real recordings of the News crew: Enfield poltergeist real recordings. The conjuring 2 real recordings |

Salem’s Lot was scary as a kid. The scene with the kid floating in the air and scratching at the window gave me a few nervous nights.

Agree with the earlier comment about Jeepers Creepers.
Though not technically a horror movie, Sanctum ranks up there with "things that keep me awake at night for $1000, Alex." Blair Witch was pretty interesting, considering it was probably the first of the found footage movies. |

For me its Jaws. That shit happens for real. Not to me in Oklahoma, but it does happen

I love event horizon.
Not too many horror movies do it for me but that was one of them. Also, the strangers was a fantastic movie although more of a thriller. |
