Saw somebody out in one today while I was out making my rounds.  Probably the last good day of the year and he was taking advantage of it.  Sounded good, too.

I've been around lots of cars...

When hubby wasn't working in aviation he was in the car building / restoration biz. He used to restore vintage cars, and they took cars to vintage races like at Lime Rock Park. Fun stuff

Then he work for a guy that built made to order Talbot Lago repos:

http://tlccar.com/wp-content/uploads/Talbo8side6.jpg

Even when he was in aviation, sometimes he still worked on race crews. Not anymore though... got got got got no
time.

His boss has a stable of Ferraris and McLarens. I think he just recently (like last week) had a boo boo with a Ferrari

Me? I still love America muscle. Someone in my neighborhood either bought or restored a ('70 maybe, I terrible with years) Chevelle SS. It is beautiful.

Give me American muscle or badass American trucks (late '20s and on) any day of the week.

Rambler Metropolitan. A friend's Dad bought one for his wife as a 'grocery-getter'. Trouble is, he liked it so much he drove it most of the time.

My Dad ended up with a Crosley  when he was first driving  - more because my Grandfather was friendly with Powel Jr. - knowing them, there was probably a deal and he had a unique understanding of motivation.

My Dad never had that problem, derisive stories and he replaced as soon as he had the means. Cool mini like the Nash car but not nearly as refined.

I think this is the coolest car ever.

ETA:
Old BMWs are pretty cool

I think older customized Japanese sports cars are really cool.

Big trucks? Yea from very early (year 2 or 3 Dakar). Now T4 (race) and T5 (support) class in at more Rally Raids. Jan De Rooy had a 1000hp twin engined DAF in the late 80s that could do 125 mph. I hate Kamaz but they are dominant - Rus, Worst roads breed best trucks

Very. I never get shots like that

I respect Chagin, but like most Rus, rubs me wrong. Realize it cultural, and it doesnt help they've been beating the hell outta Loprais/Tatra - but I find its a common feeling.

The fun part is fuel, every few laps you have to pump up fuel pressure with that cylinder on the left

If you are ever out in California doing buggy shit hit me up for drone chase footage.   If I am available I would live to come out and chase you guys on a weekend.

My stuff cruises at 40-50mph and can punch up to 70-80 without trouble.

If I strip down I can likely hit 100mph with a gopro still attached but only for short bursts before battery is dead.

You'd never need 100mph for Ckass 11 stuff

Appreciate the offer but that's passed for me. If  I find myself im a Class 11 Bug, something's gone terribly wrong

Corvettes are nice cars, but you have to deal with the Chevrolet service department.  They treat you the same as an owner of a Cruze.  I've owned two Corvettes and loved them both but dealer experience was pretty meh.  I did end up going way out of my way and found a dealer that actually treated me right.  I don't need my ego stroked, but a Corvette ZR-1 is not a Beretta.
