Shake Break is in the car CD player right now. It's looped a few times since I put it in on my way to the range a week or so ago.

Today, best of Karen Carpenter.
Before that, ELO's 3 CD set of their best hits. |

In a sort of accidental manner, I listened to the entirety of Todd Snider's new live album, Return of the Storyteller recently.
Most of you people probably ain't near cool enough for Todd though, so probably not a good fit for this audience. |

have to agree with 917-30
layla and other assorted love songs how can you beat eric clapton and duane allman on the same album?????? one of the greatest albums of all times with one of the greatest rhythm sections with gordon, whitlock and radle...... (they were on bonnie and delaney, george harrison's all things must pass, and so much more) oh...and the remaster at least has duane a little bit more up than the original mix, which was horrendous........ |

Quoted: @MetalChef I like that. Got any more recommendations? View Quote Their other two albums: Tales From the Kingdom of Fife Legends from beyond the galactic Terror Vortex If you listen to them in order, Tales, Space 1992, Legends, it has a plot line than runs through all the albums. It is super campy intentionally as a homage to old school power metal like Hammerfall, Helloween, Etc. Other bands: Alestorm(Pirate Metal, the keyboard player/singer started Gloryhammer) Sabaton(military history) Powerwolf(werewolf/gothic) Grailknights(parody of power metal…super goofy) Nanowar of steel(a total parody/comedy metal band. They make fun on every kind of metal) Battle Beast ETA: For some reason as of late, power metal has made a huge comeback after being scorned in the 80s/90s. |
