LS powered ND Miata.  As close to stock looking as possible.

I’ve never really been a fan of supercars.

An LS powered/restomodded 1960 Corvette.

As far as paying homage to stupidity…if it was a big lottery win, I’d have a copy of The Last of the V8 Interceptors built…maybe two; one post-apocalypse to make the set.

I'd hire someone to find my Dad's 1957 Corvette and have it restored.

Also a Porsche 959 Gruppe B and a 1960s Ferrari Daytona.

I used to work on those for a customer that had some cash.  At any one time he had 10-12 of them.  He'd occasionally sell one here and there but mostly kept them.

I did all of the mechanical work before they went off to the body and interior shops.  They are beautiful and classy cars.

ETA: An E-type would be my lottery car too...and a Ferrari of some type.

Red 1987 Countach downdraft with a tan interior and rear wing. Without the lower side vents that started with the 1987 1/2 models. Yes, I've thought about this for 40 or so years!

Something with a 426 Hemi, factory, numbers matching to hold my garage floor down. Then an identical built mutt car with little relative value that I can actually drive.

Coolest looking car in the world IMO. I know it's not the fastest, I know it's not the most expensive, but I think it looks rather fantastic.

For sunny weekend convertible tooling around, it would probably be a Z8. They're headed for BMW icon status and will rival, if not eclipse the 507 in their turn. Not that money would matter at that point, but concours examples are running $250K to $500K on BaT. We have one in this area that makes a rare appearance in town, it's just freakin' beautiful.

As a daily, it would have to be a 2022 Aston Martin Vantage. Smallest, lightest of their GTs, with a 500hp V-8, last of the manual six speeds and a manly but sumptuous interior.

Speaking of this area, Sandpoint's Lost in the 50s comes up next weekend. Friday is a parade and street dance type-stuff, but Saturday is the roped-off downtown car show. They started it back up last year and it was awesome. The weather is supposed to be in the upper 80s and sunny again, and a friend says the car registration is already pushing out past the plan...

LOTS of fuck you money here, and they roll their babies out just for this weekend. If you're in striking distance, these boys have some very cool stuff. If not, I'll probably take three or four dozen photos and do another thread on it.

Sorry, I'm boring.

Could maybe go for one of the classic Jaguars that's been through the whole update process and I seem to recall an outfit doing mods on Corvettes to give them a new body style that incorporated some classic car stylistic elements under some numerical designation that I'm thinking I'd like to take a closer look into if I had GFY money. Just for day trips or out for overnight kinds of things.

Otherwise, probably be more interested in something like a Mercedes SUV or crossover suitable for travelling around the country while hauling gear and luggage in comfort. Probably a Mini Countryman for a grocery getter.

The classic Jags are pretty.  Got a great look at a beautiful E-Type as I was helping push it off of the street into a parking lot.

Evidently surprisingly tame as a daily driver.  I've seen one pull up next to me in traffic in the Villages near Houston.  Wish I'd have thought to get a picture.

Amazingly low; I wouldn't want to drive it on Houston's Third World roads.  But that guy does.

Which is why the updating was specifically mentioned. Lucas electrical = shudder at the thought, and that's just the beginning.

2500 Suburban with a SFA or
The cleanest low mileage 5.4 Excursion I can find. Pull the engine, shoot it and replace it with a Godzilla engine. 5.4 because I'd feel bad doing that with the V10 or diesel. It would be setup for regular overlanding when I'm not at my Ted shack in Montana. 35's, selectable lockers, awning, winch,... Fairly minimal inside so I don't feel like I'm driving a camper around when home. Maybe just restomod my '01 Sub, Lord knows I've spent enough money on it so far.
I would also get a Dirty 6er bicycle; I like my Rockhopper but it's just a bit too small for me.

I don't think I'd go too crazy on guns. A few boring pistols (Glock 20, nice .22 revolver), one machine gun, one or two long range/hunting rifles. I'd buy a fucking shit load of ammo and a few suppressors though.

I don't give a shit about cars. The one I have now gets me from A to B. That's all I need. If I win the lottery, I'm not wasting money on ridiculous cars. I might buy a military hummer though.

An E-Type or an AH 3000 Mark III would scratch the Brit roadster itch. These two rotate on my wallpaper.

Probably a Porsche 917. A flawless reproduction with A/C would be dandy.

Then an elegant car of yesteryear like a Deusenberg or a Auburn speedster.
