My 13 yr old was into that for a little while. I admit I was impressed with her creativity and sewing skills as she did a really good job on some fox-like creature costume she made.
Then she grew out of that. Now she’s into anime…which is annoying as hell. The weird characters are always pissed off at something and fighting. I don’t get it. But likely her kid attention span will move onto something else soon. |

Quoted: What's a furry? Most of us are just silly art collectors. We've been around in modern form since 1985 and there is a couple million of us just in the states, maybe 50 million worldwide. https://www.ar15.com/forums/general/-/75-2005032/?tl=&r=-1&page=42&anc=bottom#bottom @RV8guy View Quote Not sure about most, perhaps the quiet weird ones are. Far too many are degenerate freaks who are into bestiality and cartoon human/animal porn. Don't say they are the minority because that garbage is endlessly out there and furries are always trying to push their flavor of degeneracy. There may be some legitimacy in your "community" but ignoring the nasty side isn't going to do anything to distance yourself from them in the eyes of others. Over on 'ol urban dictionary you can see them either A. trying to legitimize their fetishes, or B. trying to downplay the amount of furry porn out there. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Furry But not all furries are degenerates? Yeah well enough of you are and you pretend like it ain't a big deal. Just like the homosexuals who weren't coming after your children. These subcultures are a lesson in distancing yourself from the freaks and not being coerced into things or letting yourself do whatever feels "good". Sometimes saying no to yourself is a necessity. The left uses this endlessly. They take the good people in a degenerate group, use them as the poster child with a "pwweeease respect us" message, knowing full well the garbage that is allowed behind it, and you end up with this shit everywhere. You can't demonize the bad stuff because far too many people (pony as example) will defend it even though they know there's a bad aspect to it that no one does anything about. |

For the vast majority it's a form of costume play. They enough being something else for a period of time. Obviously some are recapturing their youth, others are looking for an escape from themselves, some are sexually excited by the "dress up", some are just into the party scene.
It's not a unified community that's all one thing. I would probably assume that if they are out in the general population in costume (other then Halloween) that they are pretty strange. At or on the way to a convention - I wouldn't think/worry about them at all. |

Besides were so big now that there's no organization or confusion to begin with anyway compared to the actual leadership that sort of existed back to the 1990s We used to be sort of a club now though we are an actual subculture with its own divided out groups and sectarian issues. Really "Furry" is just an umbrella definition |

Quoted: 1) Not a furry; 2) Hilarious you can't see your prudish hypocrisy. View Quote Not a fury but defending them and insisting that I'm a prude because I find their flavor of sexuality disgusting. And because I support natural sexuality over unnatural animal attraction that is somehow hypocritical of me because I don't support people who are into bestiality. This is how fucked up people get on yif porn that they think it's just as normal as everything else. It's not or society would accept it. |

Quoted: Looked up the yif stuff. Would definitely feel odd to rub one out to that with my dog in the room. View Quote My avatar is part of the background art of a furry comic strip that I'm a big fan of. I'm still on the fence about whether or not I consider myself a furry. There are a few other comics that I like reading that feature anthropomorphic animal characters, but the pin-ups and the outright porn really weirds me out. There have been a few times now where I've seen someone's art that I like, that leads to me searching out more of their art, only to end in disappointment when I end up finding their NSFW art. A few years ago I started drawing a few characters of my own. It's a pastime that doesn't really cost me anything. I've been really happy with how some of those pictures turned out, but I've been keeping them to myself. I'm well aware of the stigma and I don't like the idea of my art being associated with the NSFW side of it. Maybe some day I'll just say screw the haters and post it all up publicly. Maybe not. Whatever. |

Big ass corps of course, wjo are run by big time rich libs,, of course they down play issues rather than try and fix them, they want cash. |
