Carried a G17 for years and just got a P320, so far i like it even though I have been a Glock guy for years.
So far I am pretty happy with it. 
The Glock 19 is a good choice, sounds like you just need a better holster. |

A G19 without a money clip for a holster would be a better choice.

I'd start with smaller. If you gotta have a striker 320, I perfer condition1 - 938 and stashes well.
