View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Tesla =/= sports car But somehow is faster than the "sports cars" listed here. Get a boombox and play some motor sounds if you need it to be loud. Quoted: Correct. It's a super car. There is no such thing as a 4700lb sports car or super car. Straight line speed gets boring in a hurry and sub 3sec 0-60 is unpleasant and doesn’t add anything to the enjoyment of the car |

Something like a 3 year old GTR. Spend the rest on a toy hauler, tools, tires, and Airbnbs at Road Atlanta.

The nicest 911 or C8 you can get for 100k.
Spend the rest on safety gear, track time, professional high performance driving instruction, tires, maintenance, and fuel. |

If I had 150K I'd get a Rivian R-1 and a Porsche Cayman.
One to cover "fast" and the other to cover "fun to drive". |

Quoted: If they just put as much talent on the design as they did the powertrain. It's a sub $100K car, no matter how much boomers are driving up the price right now. It will not hold value like a Porsche GT car. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: dude 5.5 flat plane V8, Porsche can go take a hike The only reason Porsche GT cars hold value is their production numbers....same reason why Ford GTs are worth more than any production 911. Were you into cars as a kid?
Any posters on your wall? Anybody you looked up to drive something special? Did you have a ride in a car that you can’t forget? We are experiencing a repeat of the early 90s where selling prices for current production is up and there are waitlists for anything really good. If it’s just an exercise… I’ve already got a couple of cars, a current project, and a next in line project. Some things I’d look at adding to the garage are: Audi R8 First Gen V8 manual Buick GNX Corvette C3 68-69 convertible small block with side pipes Camaro 67 RS/SS Ferrari 308 77-79 Ferrari 360 coupe manual only power steering delete preferred Jaguar XKE Lancia Delta Morgan Mustang ‘69 Mach 1 Porsche 912 Porsche 914/6 Porsche 911SC for a Safari build Any of those speak to you? |

997.2 GT3. At this point all of you guys thinking you’re getting any newish 991.1+ GT3 for 150k are dreaming.

Quoted: 911 is the right answer. I scratched the itch with a lot less with a VW GTI, plus APR tune and a couple grand additional upgrades not as cool as a 911, but German 6 speed turbo fun on a budget. View Quote Lol that’s not even the same itch. FWD 4 cyl hatchback vs 6 cyl rear engine rwd sports car. GTI is a fun daily but not even close to any kind of representation of a fun weekend/track toy. I have a MK7 GTI autobahn and a 911 GT3. |

Quoted: I asked a similar question 5 years ago. What could I get that was the most fun, best handling, fastest with a manual transmission (a must). My budget was $100,000, about the same as today when you consider the premiums dealers are asking and getting. A new 2017 C7 Zo6 Zo7 was a touch over my budget but well worth it. It is not a daily but now has 96,000 miles, lots of track days and a shit ton of fun times with it. If I could do it over I wouldn't do anything different. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/109231/20181028_132141-1941287.jpg View Quote Up until recently, he's always personally owned Corvettes and he always raved about their reliability compared to German cars, which he also owned through his various businesses. I just find it odd he went English and German after griping about the German cars he's owned. |

Right now? 911 GT3 RS+ some spare change. Absolutely no question.
Who want's a $150K 5000+ lb battery lead sled that only accelerates quick, can't turn or stop? If I can wait a bit, then the ZR1. |
|
|
I guess my 1st question is what are your intentions with the car. Drag race, auto cross / road racing, or just something to look at in the garage and going to cars and coffee.
Of the top of my head,, if you are good waiting a year, is a c8 z06. |
