As the title says, what style. I own a rambler and am very happy that I have no stairs. Had a two story before, but it was from the 20's and the upstairs was one large room built for midgets.
So what do you have and are you happy with it? |

WTF is a rambler? I thought that was a car?
If you mean a single story house, they call that “ranch style” here for some reason. A ranch was something different where I’m from. |

A fairly typical 1970's split-level with a single-story addition on the back.

I’ve never heard the term Rambler applied to houses.
I have a small, single level home. Bought it 25 years ago thinking just the wife and I would live here and grow old. We indeed got old. No stairs was a choice, I had spine issues then and they haven’t gotten better. Corner lot with a big back yard. It suits us fine. |

Your lack of architectural understanding is sad, OP.
I live in an apartment, which isn't listed in the OP's awful list of poll options, because the list sucks. |

Never heard of a “rambler” style house, but if it’s similar to a ranch style house that’s what we built 2 years ago.

Three story, ground level is just garage and storage, so not sure if that counts.. Sold my other house last year, glad to only have one now.

A brick ranch style on a concrete slab. We build out here not up. No basements and not a lot of 2 storys.

Ranch on a slab.
I would kill for a basement, but they just don't do them here. |

Typical 2 story midwest small town 50's house. Decent square footage with a small footprint up and down levels. I hate all the stairs, small kitchen, small bathroom, and the fact every room is compartmentalized except for the living and dining room. But it is almost paid for, remodeled, and I am saving for my retirement house somewhere away from this cold a** winter tundra...

Small 1 story house, style is I can walk down the street to the ocean.

2-story stick-built cube on a slab. Same as the other 8 or so houses I could hit with a baseball from my front porch.

I have a small ranch style house that I bought at 24 years old. Paid it off at 38 and was able to pay cash for the auto shop I currently run.
I don't need a big house to be happy. |

A Honkeyville, we don’t have any abounded cars or old couches and mattresses in the front yard. We also take down our Christmas lights on New Year’s Day.

If you use "Rambler" instead of "one story," "one level", and/or "ranch" then your results will be flawed.

No stairs decent sized lot quiet suburb just the two of us. Only thing I miss is having a basement - crawl space is a pain. |

I am pretty happy with it although I wish our bedroom was a bit bigger and it had a few more rooms. I'd love a giant walk in pantry off the kitchen, a Den/Library room and a huge rectangle home theater room. |

It’s basically a single-wide trailer, only it’s a real house. 1 bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen.
