Anyone get a ticket for less than 5 MPH over the speed limit?
If so, what state was it in? |
|
Yes! 1981,... in Manhatten, KS,... 32 MPH in a 30MPH zone,.... NY plates on a 68 Barracuda
|
|
The ticket I received was for 5mph over. But in reality I was going 93 in a 55...while passing a dark State Trooper SUV at 4am...and crossing into the toll lane to do so
I have no idea why he let me off so easy, but I was grateful to not go to jail. |
|
58 in a 55 while traveling in Utah. I was death to Utah speeders for years.
|

Less than 10 over the limit but we were pulled over for having a radar detector in Virginia in the late ‘90s. Officer let us keep the detector and only wrote us up for speeding. Laughed when we received the fee in the mail, less than $40 fine. Would’ve been $100 plus back in Texas.

37 in a 35. No shit. (That and my genius 3yo nephew decides to flip the bird at the cop as we passed while sitting in his car seat in the back of my Jeep)

30 in a 25 FOB Cedar II Iraq in a HMMWV about 5 months after the invasion.
My CO tore it up. |
|
1 mph over on Ft. Campbell, KY. I think the speed limit was 30.
|
|
15 over, it was a 40mph county road, missed the sign, and was going 55mph, thinking I was driving lawfully. The kind sheriff's deputy graciously informed me that was, in fact, incorrect.

I've been pulled over for 4 over a few times, but no ticket. Mom got a ticket for 1 over years ago in Indiana. I have no idea what the circumstances were.
|
|
15 over, 50 in a 35. The road it was on had just finished major construction to change it from a fairly windy two-lane to a much straighter four-lane. Not two weeks after I got the ticket the limit on that road was raised to 45.

Not me but- when I was a young corporal riding with my gunny at camp pendelton,a LCPL MP pulled us over and gave him a 16 in a 15 ticket
It was clearly a “I have authoritah” moment |

They used to cruise our LA just to harass us. It might have had something to do with us flaunting our 'immunity' to their fuck fuck games. |

I was doing 90 something on the Jersey Turnpike back in ‘93. We were 18 and had a couple open containers too but the cop never noticed. (I wasn’t drinking). Got off with a warning. Apparently it was our lucky day.

I'm never not speeding and have been pulled over like 20 times. I've only been pulled over twice for doing less than 10 over and both were fishing expeditions for drunks or drugs.

2 kph over on Geilenkirchen NAB, by two Italian SPs. I was pissed, and let them know it.
Showed up late for our afternoon "fun run". My commander was looking at his phone, laughing, and said, "did you just try to start another international incident?" ETA: noticing a theme here with military police and on-base tickets? It's a seriously boring job... |

I got one for 29 in a 25 coming back from the store on New Years in '85 less that 1/4 mile from home. I'm guessing he pulled me cause he thought I was drunk driving that close to the speed limit and was mad when he found out I was underage and didn't drink.
Dickhead judge didn't like my explanation that the speedometer in my car was cable driven and bounced a 5 mph range when under 30 ( and it did ). |

|
Yep, 68 in a 65 outside Brenham, TX coming back from a Boy Scout camp out.
|

Fucking POS fatass douchenozzle will write anyone without a VT plate for 1 mph over in Plymouth VT. Most of the time he is just north of 100a in the municipal building parking lot, but he has also started to expand his douchekingdom down to Tyson right where it drops from 50 to 35 with little warning. I would love to see the stats from that area. It is almost guaranteed he has someone everytime I travel that road, and it is always the same asshole fuckwad POS.

52 in a 55 on a back road in Michigan.
But the ticket said 66 on it. Another time I came around a curve at 50, thinking I was in a 55 zone (I may have been or I might have missed an intermediate speed drop in the dark), and right there in my face is a 25mph sign. Got pulled over for passing that sign at 30 with my brakes on. Cop took my papers, sat in the cruiser for 15 minutes, then sent me on my way without a ticket. |

Got pulled over on the way to work one Saturday morning by a state trooper. 61 in a 55.
He wrote me a warning and let me go. |

Quoted: Quoted: Wait a hot fucking minute!!! OUR own military police were running radar, on a FOB, in a foreign country, and handing out tickets to their FELLOW SOLDIERS??? Is this for real? Yes I guess on our big bases overseas like Ramstein, Aviano, Okinawa, etc, having MPs makes sense. But handing out speeding tickets on an FOB in a warzone seems stupid. |
|
I got a ticket in the mail from Basel Switzerland for going 4 km/h over the limit.
|
|
I only have one ticket, 22 over (written as 20 over).
Lowest I've ever been legit stopped for was 9 over. Lowest amount that I've been stopped for was 3-4 over, but dickhead stupid/lying deputy claimed I was doing 16 over, I still don't know if he really believed I was doing 16 over or if he was just lying. He 100% lied to me about how he clocked me, though. |

16 in a 15mph zone, Fort Benning, GA. Didn't have a sear belt on either, but let me off on the no seat belt

3. 73/70. He gave me the ticket because I had a radar detector.

New Brighton, Mn
Got a ticket for 32 in a 30, the judge threw it out and profusely lectured the officer for wasting the courts time… |

I kept going, when I got to the gun line they tried to give me shit about speeding. I told them if they were going to stand around flapping their mouths they better be helping unload ammo. They left. |

56 in a 55. Fuck the Ohio Highway Patrol. I was 19 and heading to class at Columbus State. I thought I had my cruise control set to 55 and passed a trooper going well under the speed limit in the right lane. He lit me up and asked how retarded I had to be to not slow down while passing him. He made sure I understood that whatever speed I was doing, I needed to slow down to show respect when passing a trooper. I was young and had no idea you could fight these things, I kind of wish I had taken it to court to see if the judge would have thrown it out. I am sure the trooper would have been an ass in front of the judge.

About 28 years ago. 60
in a 55. Good flowing traffic no adverse conditions. The earful I’d give an asshole revenue cop if that happened to me now wound be epic. That was back when I respected law enforcement. They have shown to me the last few years that they do not deserve my respect. |

Yes MP’s seem to be worse than reg police with the respect my authority stuff. They can impose their will on officers and senior NCO,s And at 19 with 4 months of training . |

I didn't get a ticket but was supposed stopped for going 41 in a 40 at 1 AM.
Told the cop and his backup they're fucking retarded. Which I guess for cop vocabulary mean "i have contraband". Denied search. Then asked if ive been drinking. No Then wanted me to step out to do a sobriety test. So I not very kindly reminded them about they stopped me for allegedly going 41 in a 40, not for erratic driving. Bunch of back an forth BS. Eventually let me leave. No ticket. No paper. Just a verbal "slow down" Whatever. They're fucking cucks |

Quoted: Ohio plate? View Quote Left middle finger shoved out the driver's window as far as it would go. I'd been doing it to that county's deputies for about six months, ever since I met this one total POS perjuring asshole. They always ignored it, they were professionals. That day I flipped off the asshole himself, so he wrote me for 11 over, because it cost considerably more than 10 over. 20 years later, I met that (retired) asshole. He was such a pitiful oaf that I couldn't work up enough hate to piss on his grave later. Oh, I forgot one. Same county, couple years later. I crest a hill, 53-54mph. There's a deputy in the rest stop at the bottom of the hill. I watch the needle pretty carefully going down that hill, but I think it did hit 56 briefly. He pulled me over for a (not a primary offense) seat belt ticket, and used my "going 60" as the excuse for the stop that allowed him to write the seat belt. Told me he pulled me over for the belt, wouldn't have pulled me if I had a belt on. Told the magistrate he pulled me over for the belt. Magistrate didn't GAF that the legislature in no way shape or form wanted people pulled over for seat belt offenses, and convicted me of the seat belt offense. A few years later, the state legislature (under pressure from the feds IIRC) made seat belts a primary offense. |

7 over on loop 101. Went to traffic school dropped the ticket. Don't speed much these days, gas is $5 a gallon.
