Lately its 25 minutes. Chasing after my kids riding their bikes has certainly helped.

5k PR is 23:12 but these days my miles are all easy and summer is miserable for running so 32ish

[#4]
About 6 minutes.

More of I let the truck warm up before I run to the convenience store.

But in all honesty, I’ve never been any kind of distance runner. Not even in my youth as a track runner. Short distances, 800m or less, sure. Any more than that and I was the reason the team lost.

54 mins - it's a fast walk my knees won't take running for very long.

What's with the run time threads lately? I stopped running when I retired from the military. Not a statistic I find relevant any longer

22 ish minutes.

Well, im not running, ive still got a half mile to go, and im pushing a stroller while wearing crocs, but im on track for about 45-50 minutes.

About five years.  I hate running

My benchmark is to do 5k in 25 these days, so 24 minutes.

It is getting harder to keep to that.

30 minutes.  I am 64 years old.

30 minutes for a 5k, 60 minutes for a 10k. Never cared enough to figure out the “run faster for shorter distances so you’re spent at the end” concept.

My wife’s running coach ran D1, wins 5k’s and stuff, he’s fast. He was annoyed the group he started with ran 4:10s instead of 4:20s. He kept up fine, but that’s moving on a 5k.

I dont run.

What is this running you speak of?  My knees can’t take running anymore.  I do a version of a road march, carrying a weighted pack.  I can average a 15:00 to 14:30 mile.

I am 50 and regularly finish my 3 mile runs in 21 to 21.5 minutes.   I can knock out a 6.5 minute mile but only for 1 mile

I haven't run three miles since the early '90s and that was to train for 100 mile desert motorcycle races.

I haven't been nice to my body.  I'll walk 2 miles now and think I'm something.

Sometimes bad people have to be run down.

Train for it

Between shin splints and plantar fasciitis, I don't run. I think I could do it, but it would ultimately just set me back.

I'm currently just working on slowly expanding the duration of my zone 2 cardio, which is 3.5mph with an incline of 6 on the treadmill. Kind of feels like I could do it forever, but trying not to out-walk my feet. Just adding a few minutes every time.

This is the first year my 5yo is out of the stroller and on a bike. Its glorious.

Chasing kids on bikes vs pushing them is an unbelievable revelation of freedom

If I push it I can do that but will be paying for it for a few days. More like high 26 to mid 27ish. But I’m in my 60s so probably not to shabby.

Only reason I'd be running is if something was chasing me. If it's been chasing me for more than a 100 yards or so, it might just get shot before I keel over.

58, I can run that in about 24 minutes. If the weather is nice 21-22 minutes.

I think thats solid for 60

I did a race over a nh 4k footer last year. While I was waiting for my wife a 75 year old guy crossed the finish line.

That impressed the duck out of me.

Just doing shit in your 60s and 70s is solids imo

I could still do 7 minutes miles for most of my 50’s. I hit 60 and while I can still perform, my recovery time is SIGNIFICANTLY extended. But I look at my piers and feel better about myself

Wife and I are training for our first marathon in November and have already started the 18 week training plan.

I run her pace since she's a tad bit slower so we're not crazy fast.  3 miles = 22:30, 5 miles = 38:00.

We're 37 and 30 yo.

Between 24 and 25 minutes, but right now a hip injury is side lining me.  I hope to be back to running within a few weeks.  Knock on wood.

Just lie like most people here are doing if you want to feel better about yourself…or pretend their times are real and use it as motivation to slay dragons.
