But use a TKX, not a T5. It will shift sooooo much smoother.

(Hides the fact that Grey50beast refers to a Grey 5.0 mustang with a T5)

I don’t really plan on putting too much power to the ground with the wire wheels that my Cruise Director has established as a non-negotiable. I have the T5 from my current Foxbody project that is getting a TKX. That’s money saved that will go to the Webers. I’m afraid I’ll be spending more on car jewelry (wheels, chrome bits, leather, Weber setup, etc.) than the kit.
The Factory Five kit is appealing and probably how I will go as I have some friends who built 427 kits from them. I don’t plan on it being a show car, just another driver. Besides it would familiarize me with their kits for the future Daytona I have been promised grand kids to help build.
Modern is all relative. Had I not said modern someone would have been complaining that I wasn’t using a 60s block and a 4 speed. I don’t know when/if I may ever get interested in post 5.0 roller block Ford V8 engines. A Focus rally inspired build might be interesting though.
