BS fantasy thread but the Cuban sandwhich thread got me thinking about Miami so if you were Crockett or Tubbs but you had access to post final season 1990-2023 firearms which primary, secondary and which holsters would you use for Crockett and for Tubbs if you’re in charge of selection including shotgun since Stubbs seemed to like that - if you’d pick a substitute of similar size not shotgun for Tubbs, what would you opt for? Or if you prefer to stick to 1980s era which would you have them use as better options than the show? Attached File

Crockett gets a Glock 17 Gen 5 as well as a CAR-15 sbr, Tubbs gets a Witness Protection 870 or Serbu Shorty

Crockett gets to carry a Bren 10 because it’s still a Gucci gun, and he’s the real star of the show. Tubbs carries a Glock 17, because it’s boring, just like him.

Crockett: Primary- G20SF 10mm
BUG- G29SF 10mm Long gun: MP5/10 Tubbs: Primary- G19 9mm BUG- G26 9mm Long gun- Serbu Super Shorty This coming from a dude with no love for glock. Whatever rigs work for the above- no preferences |

View Quote I guess I wasn’t fair to you were hypothetical. Crockett will carry a shoulder rig with a natural leather finish because when you are as highly skilled, and Unkillable as he is, you can opt for style over substance. He’s always gonna be faster on the draw than the bad guys, even pulling from a shoulder rig. On second thought, Tubbs carries a South African Mamba. That way, the real gun geeks will know that there’s something up with his character. He must’ve spent some time in Africa, but he keeps real quiet about it. It doesn’t matter though, because anybody who would carry an exotic piece of hardware like that, has definitely been places, and done shit. |

At the time they used new, expensive, and flashy guns to reinforce their undercover personas as 80's drug dealers.
To keep with that theme applied to modern drug dealers, they should carry stolen glocks fitted with wish.com auto switches and Hi Points, both loaded with a random assortment of different ammo types. Draco pistols in the trunks for heavier work. |

Crockett gets a 410 Snake Charmer Tubbs can have a North American Arms Mini Revolver .22 LR
Stupid fucking show |

View Quote Short version is back in the 80s my Mom claimed he was a fat coke head when we were in Beverly Hills. I could never tell why she got pissy about some actors, I assumed either jealousy or she didn’t get along with them. She used to go to dinners with Robert Evans and Jack Nicholson pretty often and she hated Nickleson but I don’t recall her ever working or meeting Don Johnson so not sure how she got a dislike for him. I guess I should ask. She said she’s be sending me some photos from her television days so I guess I’ll ask her. |

Modern Guns?
Crockett gets a Stacatto P outfitted with a red dot Tubbs get a G19 |

Mann’s 2006 movie had Crocket using a single stack SVI Infinity with the tracker front sight I thought…
Seemed appropriate. |
|
I could see Crockett with some sort of Staccato… but in stainless or color case hardened by Turnbull for the bling factor. He’d get an SR-16 SBR to keep in his SF-90.
Tubbs would be outfitted with a Korth NXS 8, and either a Benelli M4 or MP7 depending on the episode. |
|
I asked this question about 2 years ago.
Crockett gets a 2011 in 38 Super. Patrol rifle is a Galil or Hellion or Bren2. PCC is a CZ Scorpion. Tubs gets a Benelli M4 and a Sig239 in 357SIG. |

I just want them to have some belt feds or a minigun mounted to a cigarette boat.

If I was doing that kind of work?
Beretta 92XI and a Steyr AUG with 16 inch barrel. I tried to write a story about a private detective in that era but it never went anywhere. But I was able to decide on a Steyr GB for their sidearm. But if one is going for a Gucci pistol from that era it's probably a practical impossiblity to out Gucci the Bren Ten. Mebby an HK P7? |

Crockett gets cucumber cause he's cool Tubbs gets a parasol cause his loafers

|
Tubbs - Ruger Single Six
Crockett - Seecamp .25acp with ONE mag |
