Quoted: There used to not be these daily generation war threads. View Quote As designed. There wasn't enough division I guess. It did seem to start with millennials catching all kinds of shit. I(age 51) never heard much of it until the millennial bashing started. I never judged based on generation, my a dad and uncles(boomers) are the hardest working, non-complaining, humble, least entitled people I have ever encountered so I never understood the boomer bashing. I have worked with good people from all generations so I reserve my judgements to individual's behavior although I understand stereotypes exist for a reason and my anecdotal experience may not be an accurate representation of the groups. |

The problem is already in the question.
The phrase "run the country" is appalling and should be eliminated from any conservatives' vocabulary except when referencing moderates and democrats. "Which generation do you trust to protect your liberties and the Constitution?" should be the question. And because it's NOT the question, it's even this slight attitude that causes increasing government, IMO. |

I like how Gen X is giving everyone the middle finger in the poll. Like literally. Look at it.

You think the Boomers in politcal positions are actually making decisions? Look up Permanent Washington (lawyers, lobbyiest, politician assistants and consults) and check the age group. Guess what? We are already being fucked by Gen X and Mellenials.

That poll is probably a much more accurate summation of the age demographics on this board than a poll “what generation are you”.

None of them really. For generations politicians have served themselves and not the people regardless of political party.
That's why there are people serving who are like 70-80+ years old in the US government. What the hell is someone who is twice as old as I am gonna know about my issues and concerns, and what are they gonna do about it? Nothing, that's what. They're gonna continue to serve until the day they die, drawing a ~$175k+ yearly salary with full medical benefits, and in the unlikely event any of these bastards do decide to hang it up before they die, they're covered with a pension for the rest of their days. |

No generation.
Trust only very conservative people who aren't interested in power or unearned income. |

Millennial here: Definitely not my generation or the zoomers, zero accountability to take the responsibility for their own actions. And will continue to blame everyone else even when they too become old and ready to die.

The Greatest Generation fucked up parenting, because they read Dr. Spock, believed him and followed his advice.
Boomers are fucked up because they were raised according to Dr. Spock's recommendations. Anyone who underwent Liberal sub-human indoctrination, and believed it, is fucked up beyond all hope. There's no fixing voluntary dumb, voluntary profound mental retardation. |

As a Gen X it's time. The boomers have ran this country like a 19 year old with a leased BMW. I don't know if we can make a full recovery before the whiney bitch millennials take over.
Either it's un fixable or Gen X does a decent job to the point where the whiney bitch millennials let the Gen Xers run it for longer. Not all Millennials are whiney bitches but most have been so far. Perhaps the best of them were wasted invading the wrong country in the Middle East. If what Peter Zeihan says is true a resurgence of skilled labor and a new dawn of American exceptionalism is quite possible. Only this time it will include South, Central and North America. |

Quoted: With what? View Quote In a political science sense "hard right radicals" is a nonsense phrase. Hard right is typically reactionary, not radical. Both extremes are bad. I don't want anything "hard right" in the classical sense of the term...I figured it was hyperbole. The media has deemed the freedom caucus "hard right" when they basically have opinions a 60's liberal wouldn't object to. I want balance. The ugly truth is that both sides are needed, they have always been and as far as I can tell, will always be. Therefor, a balance is required, a balance will get very little done, and that's really how it was supposed to be. |

My daughter is GenX - she's a true hard working American patriot, believes in 2A and votes.
She does have her own horse farm though and has two horses of her own. I'd put her up against any Millenial or Gen Z whatever |

What a stupid opening post. Character, knowledge, and leadership qualities have nothing to do with what generation you were born. Also, contrary to what we actually have, we need the best people from all generations in leadership roles in this country. Unfortunately, those people won't put up with the crap required to get elected.

If we’re gonna do a blanket statement I vote zoomers. They have the most weight in the game, clearly letting a bunch of decrepit boomers suck every last drop they can out of this country before they’re all dead in the next 10 years isn’t doing this country any favors, let’s try the complete opposite for a while.

Poll fail - no "None" option.
If I have to choose one, I suppose that Gen-X seems the least fucked up. That's pretty much equivilent to being the best turd floating in the bowl, though. |
|
None, we don't need "leaders" or someone to "run the county," we all handle that individually.
