Oh teh noez!!! Wouldn't want to hurt the dear leader's feelings now, would we? |

Not sure why. It appears to me that they did
In that pic he cannot possible see what he is shooting at. He is looking directly through the gun and not sighting down the barrel. If they are going to release something they need to make sure it looks real. |

Political satire. Oh, and fuck him. No copyright on government works. Even if it was done by a non-governmental photographer who retained copyright, "fair use", assholes. |
|
"Hey kids, I'm going to put this cookie jar on the floor and head out for the night. They better all be there when I get back!" |
|
Satire falls within 'fair use.'
Especially of a government figure. |

How many threads of this are there going to be today?

Can we get a lawyer in here to comment on the legality of altering a photo posted on public domains?
I think it seems like intellectual property laws depend on the domain where you're posting, like if you post a pic on Facebook per their user agreement you agree to the own the pic for a certain amount of time. Can the White House actually say it's illegal to 'shop a pic of Obama, or is it legally fair game? |
|
All photos acquired from public funds and released to the public from govt departments as in NASA, USAF, US Army etc etc etc, including the white house staff, are by definition in the public domain and anyone can do anything they fucking want with them.

Is this an Onion article?
I though public photos were public and fall under fair use? Speed |
