You can take autumn and shove it up your crisp, cool dumper. I like summer and summer only. The only thing I get tired of is hearing people whine about the heat.

I sure am.
We've had a wetter-than-normal summer and I'm really tired of the daily afternoon rain showers. When it isn't raining, it's too hot and humid to go out and do anything. Yes, I'm whining. |

....michigan cider mills this one has a small creek where you can feed the ducks. These ducks are crazy, they chased and nipped my jack russell when waiting for bread.

View Quote Yep, after the typical Virginia Summer I'm always ready for Autumn. Hoping for some cool late August/early September mornings when the squirrels start cutting the hickories too. In fact I had just got home from squirrel hunting on the cool/clear morning of Sept, 11th when I found out what happened. |

I like autumn but I'm in no hurry. Despite it being uncomfortable, I enjoy the challenge of the heat and humidity. It toughens you up.

The bench (where I clean guns, work on gun, prime and trim brass, work on the weed eaters, roto tillers, etc., etc.) is only usable for an hour or two in the morning this time of the year. Once the sun comes over the trees between it and the humidity the bench is a no sit zone. Hard to work on stuff when the sweat is dripping in/on what you're trying to work on.
But, this fall and winter, when the sun is lower in the southern sky and the wind blows mostly from the north, that bench sitting on the south side of the garage will be a really nice place to spend late morning until almost supper time. Even if it's 45 F, if the sun is shining you can sit on the bench and get necessary work done and sometimes even strip off the jacket and sit there in a t-shirt. Some days a short nap is called for as well. You know in between boxes of primers or cans of trimmed brass. And the dogs will be much happier dealing with the cool/cold temps than the near 100 F with high humidity we've been having. |

I work for a beer/wine/liq distributor. We already have our fall seasonal beers coming in. Sam Adams Octoberfest is in too.

I hate fall because it means we are getting closer to the dreaded winter.

Went from the high 40's to 95 and 90% in about 3 days. |
