Not a classic gun fighter, but a gunfighter none the less. But I'll wager the best gunfighter, isn't recorded in the books anywhere. |

Rather than special forces, how about someone like David Bellavia going into a house containing 6 insurgents and killing 5 of them by himself? He went into the house alone. When he went in, he had few fully loaded mags, some partially loaded, and one grenade. His night vision went out while it was going down.

I’m sure I read a story in here years ago about a downed helicopter in Vietnam
One of the passengers was a pistol competitor of some sort hadhis 1911 with him and loads of ammo one other survivor loaded mags for him and he killed around 60 VC iirc from around 100yards. Never been able to find That story again. |

I believe the moniker "gunfighter" refers specifically to gunslingers of the old west.
