People who bite the hand that feeds them, will lick the boot that kicks them.
That pretty much sums up the Left. They feel entitled to what they have here and don't see it as an opportunity, they look positively to the nation that treated them poorly out of this and identity politics. America's generosity and openness is both an admirable trait, but also the source of its weakness and inevitable downfall. |

You equate pride in one's tribe with pride in one's political entity. The two are not inextricably linked. Just ask a southerner with a rebel flag. Or better yet, ask some drunk Boston Mick why he's slurring erin go bragh at high volume. I'm proud of my heritage but I could give a shit for Mexico as a country. Of course some of my people were stealing land from the locals shortly after the first Spaniards started bopping around the west coast and some were on horse back looking over their mestiso peons until the last good round of Mexican revolutions. Ask a flag waver if he really wants to live in Mexico under Mexican rule he'll probably tell you fuck no. He wants to live in an America where his political overlords look more like him and less like Heb Boosh and where he can live in Anaheim Hills like the gabachos do with out the pinche gringos calling the cops on his peanut headed ass. |

If you are feeding them, it can't be out of compassion. The reason has to either be that you need them or that you are weak and are trying to buy them off with your gifts. They will generally assume both is true. But if you are kicking them, you don't need anything from them and you are obviously powerful enough to do the kicking. Therefore, they must lick your boots. |
