The modern Democratic Party very little too none. The moderate liberals of decades ago I agreed with their free speech stance. I see myself as a Jeffersonian liberal with some conservative values but these crazy leftist progressives are out of their mind.

I'm not sure Democrats have any beliefs that span the party anymore.
I guess I'm on board with any of the individual liberty stuff (gay marriage, ending WoD, stop legislating morality), but that's really it. Everything they stand for other than that is just statism. |

I'd never use the shit and I think you're a fucking dumbass if you ever would, but I favor legalization of drugs BUT with a few caveats: You're not eligible for medical/rescue services on tax dollars as a result of drug usage or any accident that results from drug usage, and you are fully liable for ALL damages, direct, consequential, or incidental to your drug use.
I'm not completely anti-abortion, either. I think it's the lousiest method of birth control going but I don't believe in a "prohibition" scenario, which never achieves its goal, that ostensibly being the eradication of the behavior or action that is central to the issue. That just never works. In fact, when it comes to democrats, I'm fully in favor of retroactive abortion up to about the 300th trimester. 
I believe that ultimately your freedom should be confirmed to be absolute with regard to your own body. It is sovereign territory. Do what you wish to it and with it. You have total ownership of everything from your own skin inward. And absolute authority over what is done to you except that you may possibly earn the death penalty for the most grievous of crimes. |

1. I believe in most social programs as long as they aren't a career choice
2. I used to believe in their support for the blue collar workers (they've abandon this now) 3. While I don't believe in Climate Change per say I do believe in being environmentally friendly and taking care of mother earth. The second they figured out a way to make money off Carbon Credits they lost me. 4. I used to believe in their stance on immigration but we've seen the parties completely flip-flop on this one so now I align with the Republicans. The problem with the Democrats today is there isn't any middle ground. They've swung too far to the left for me. My father, who voted Democrat his whole life voted for Trump and will do so again in 2020 because he saw them abandon the middle class/blue collar workers in favor of the fringe and illegals. |

I agree with them that they shouldn't own guns.
I'm down with legalizing weed. I am against abortion, to the point it's one of very few political topics that really get to me. I do take some comfort in the fact that it is likely by and large the left that are killing future Democrats before they are born and rarely conservatives. So there's that. Eta: Legalizing prostitution. The ability to pay and leave freely would make some liberal women more fuckable. Getting fucked by more conservative men would probably take care of a little of the crazy. As it stands now it's not worth the risk of having to engage with one. |

I want to legalize drugs and get rid of DUI statutes.
I also believe that those things cannot be done in a vacuum and would require actual criminal enforcement of existing law as well as actually making criminals serve their time instead of merely having adult day cares where criminals learn to be better criminals and only serve a fraction of their sentence. Bring back slavery as a restitution option. |
