I guess they’ve already forgot the lessons they learned with the woke ghostbuster failure.

Batgirl actress Leslie Grace says she's PROUD of hard work put into $90M flop that was cut before filming was done as she shares behind-the-scene clips of the cast joking around on set
Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the two directors of axed Batgirl, have spoken out after Warner Bros dropped the movie. Writing on Instagram, they wrote: 'We are saddened and shocked by the news. We still can't believe it' More |

Batgirl's screenplay was by Christina Hodson, the British writer of ultra-feminist film Birds Of Prey, accused by one critic of 'hating on men — all men . . . [and] dull to the point of numbing'.
Batgirl also featured a transgender character, Alysia Yeoh, Barbara Gordon's flatmate, played by the trans actor Ivory Aquino. The appearance, critics say, is of a film putting its 'progressive' values ahead of all other concerns. And not for the first time. Superhero films — normally somewhere audiences might go to escape our era's endless culture wars — have increasingly become major repositories of wokery. |

Apparently, it's a perfect storm of the movie being verrrry shitty AND WB pulling an Uwe Boll move and killing release of the movie because they'll get a massive tax write-off if they do.

Batman vs Superman wasn't that bad. At least the extended edition. Suicide Squad was terrible and I couldn't even finish it

View Quote I have a personal theory that Tropic Thunder was the last successful Hollywood movie that was made before a pretty stringent PC gate-keeping template went into place. It was only released in 08 but there's just no way that movie would get made today. The Simple Jack "Never go full Retard" sketch, the Robert Downy Jr Black Face scenes, the Blockbuster A-list majority white cast without any actual strong female protagonist or even supporting characters. There's just no way in hell anyone would touch that movie with a 10 foot pole now, I'm surprised they haven't banned it outright. Following 08 the progressive guard rails/check boxes went into place and you were not getting your movie greenlit without having all of the diversity and inclusion metrics which plague nearly every single shitty Netflix series/movie you've seen in the past 10 years. |

Quoted: Missed that. Couple of half black dudes with muzzie names and an Africa necklace. Bet they are fun to hang out with. Very surprised they didn't call WB racist, transphobic, anti-woman View Quote Actually these guys, despite being Muslims, are huge Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer fans and actually reached out to The Critical Drinker to do a long form interview with him. They said they watched and loved his videos, though they didn't always agree. He had even done an absolute roast for previews of the show Ms. Marvel (of which they directed two episodes), and they still went on anyway. They were extremely gracious and thankful to the fans throughout. Being on The Drinker was a really un-Hollywood-like move that I'm sure their studio(s) did not appreciate. What it really illustrated was how young, often foreign, minority directors like them without a strong voice or pull in Hollywood are taken advantage of and essentially forced to make cookie cutter films under intense studio pressure. Their fairly frank talk about how Ms. Marvel was made was downright depressing and illustrates how even with a director like Sam Raimi, Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness was doomed to fail.
