A Donald Trump supporter who caught the world's attention after having the former President's surname tattooed across her forehead is now seeking funds to have it removed.

Rain Monroe's dedication to the Republican Party presidential candidate caused a stir last month, but now, the 21-year-old content creator says the "hate" is getting to her – so much so that she's considering forking out thousands to remove the controversial inking.

In a series of posts on Instagram posts this week, the self-confessed 'Trump enthusiast' was pictured holding up a sign reading, 'Need money for tattoo removal'. And with Trump's name still clearly visible on her forehead, she was filmed around London asking strangers to donate to the cause.

"The hate from people has affected me," Rain, who is originally from the UK, revealed. "I am raising money for the removal to be able to remove it. It can cost up to $5,000 (£3,814 approx.)."

She confessed, however: "I’m not getting the tattoo removed [yet] – just weighing my options to see what’s best for me moving forward. But I also have so much support, so that’s why I don’t know [if I’ll remove it] yet. I love my supporters."

In one snap, Rain is seen sitting on the ground in a public area, looking sad as she poses with the handwritten sign. But fans were torn over the stunt.

One supporter begged: "Don't remove it! Best tattoo ever." Another added: "Keep it! You’re a legend now." While a third declared: "No removal needed."

The wider response appears to be critical of the young Trump fan, however. One critic commented: "She just did this for clout and now she wants it removed. That’s funny you can keep it girly."

A second proposed: "Let her live with her decision." And a third person alleged: "She's trying to troll everyone at this point."

In a second video, meanwhile, two women approach her to ask if the tattoo is real and touch it. Rain asks: "Would you get a Trump tattoo on your forehead for a million pounds?" To which one person responded: "Make it 10 million and then maybe." Another simply said: "Never."

Rain got the tattoo at an East London tattoo studio. In another post earlier this week, she clarified: "Still proud of my Trump tattoo, but exploring my options.

"Been getting some second opinions from my therapist about whether to keep it or consider removal. No regrets, just turns out I’m a Bad B."
