Not me.
Many ranges are like that though. It's ridiculously stupid to not allow at least one shot per second, even if they have a fear of people shooting over the backstops. |

I would probably go and see how many mag dumps I could get away with before heads explode.
|
|
|
|
From 2010 to 2014 I had to drive over an hour to shoot. From 2014 to 2018 I was limited to shooting about 130 yards.
Under such circumstances I would have jumped at a chance to join a fudd range. Ymmv. |
|
Couple ranges close to me require
an NRA membership. Same thing. Fuck all that. |
|
Mag dump. Reload. Mag dump. Reload. Mag dump. Reload. Mag dump…
“Sorry! Can’t hear you, got my ear pro” Mag dump. Reload. Repeat. |
|
Id write "Go F your dead mother" across that sign, then give a big middle finger to the camera. Pack my shit up and leave.

Is that Eagle Peak or something near Leander? It's got bullshit rules like that. They made me leave back in 2008.

I refuse to believe place so antithetical to shooting as a concept even exists.
If it does actually exist, name it so we can point and laugh. |
|
Last line rule says “…and or prosecution” how would they do that?
|
|
In Texas? so probably not public land
Otherwise it would be fun to set up just outside the premises and burn some rounds just to taunt them |
|
I can fire my 1860 Remington. 44 alot faster than that!
What are they doing! Flint napping arrow heads? |
|
If I lived in an area where this was only close range, then maybe. I shoot muzzleloaders and bolt actions, so that’s what I’d bring to this sort of range.
But if I had options, hell no. |

I've never heard of a range with no semi automatic firearms. Hard to believe this is in the US
edit there are ranges with goofy rules about "rapid fire" silhouette targets, but I bet that's from somewhere like Australia as semi auto firearms are too common in the us to be banned. Ie .22 rifles, almost all handguns |

There was one up in WA that might as well have been Garlands and 1911s only. No more than 8 rounds loaded at once, 5 seconds between shots. Fortunately there was lots of forest service land.

Quoted: Last line rule says “…and or prosecution” how would they do that? View Quote They just like to say it. It is an extension of their conversations they have when they let their barrels cool between shots. They fantasize about gun control laws except ones that would adversely affect their shooting preferences. They are convinced that a violation of their rules constitutes criminal trespass and will gleefully try to have the police out to arrest you for shooting one shot every 29 seconds. You damn well better believe they have a range office with a stop watch hovering over any newcomer. |

Quoted: https://i.imgur.com/d1jgNTD.png Why don't they just say only black powder muskets? How does a club/range like this stay in business? View Quote Must be a hobby range |

Do you think they allow match grade ammo is allowed or is the FMJ restriction really a jacketed ammo restriction? If a target could be put out at 500 to 1000 + yards, could just be a precision rifle range with the other rules compelling people to use it as such. But the lack of FMJ is puzzling... |

I'd send them a bill for wasting my time reading that.
What an awful thing to exist that place must be. |

I can lay down lead faster than two per minute with my Enfield musket rifle. It would be fun to demo for their cameras!
