Especially as a paying member? Poll to come. I wouldn't. |
No, GD is my main news source with commentary from differing opinions allowed.
I read the UFO subforum and War Gaming subforum, but that's about it outside of GD. |
I frequent the tech forums but it’s usually just a quick glance through. I spend to much time scrolling GD
ETA- why the duck are the emotes always being placed randomly in my posts? |
It got me to wondering when I saw Zhukov's post about Sylvan "He's merely restricted from GD." If I can't use GD, I have no use for ar15.com.
I would still come, but not near as often. I spend about 95% of my time here in GD, and the other 5% either in Team or various tech forums when I need to research something.
No.
I honestly get more gun info from other boards. GD rules for shit posting and news. I think it is moderated a bit too tightly, but I spend most of my time here. |
I spend all my time here (way too much time). The rest I cruise around the reloading, gear, HK forums but they are so slow most of the time.
The 1911 and handgun discussions forums here are great.
Always get answers to my questions. GD USED to be a great source for breaking news, now everybody wants to be edgy and shitpost. |
The inappropriate behavior and disturbing threads from the GD is what keeps me coming back.
I haven’t been into firearms for at least the last 15 yrs. I come here solely for the entertainment of GD.
No, and they need to stop listening to idiots here that demand separate subforums for various topics.
Nope.
Can't get my balls busted for dating fails in the survival forum. |

Quoted: Especially as a paying member? Poll to come. I wouldn't. View Quote In the beginning, circa '99 maybe, I wasn't a GD (or whatever it was called) guy. I was on active duty and the tech information/knowledge available here was in simple language, incredible. Info like that really wasn't all that common in those days and those that had it kept it as a closely held secret, e.g. some of the sniper techniques that are now commonly known were considered very sensitive by SOF in those days. So originally I didn't muck around in GD other than to occasionally read some of the purse swinging going on….ala Eric the Hun and McUzi. Nowadays I still look through the tech stuff but mainly just fuck around in GD. Would I stay on ARF if GD was gone? Sure, why not? The EE alone is worth it. |
No and my usage here is down tremendously from the previous years already with the current setup.
I would still come for the EE but I would stop paying for a membership.

Quoted: GD has never been a reason to come here View Quote So your post misses the mark slightly. I spent all my time in tech when I first came here. Now most of my time I do spend is in GD. Some people it is the reason they keep coming back and there is nothing wrong with that. |
GD has no bearing on my posts. But I'd gladly pay for a life membership if a certain industry partner became personal non-grata.
Yes. I regularly came to the arfcom tech forums for years before I even knew about GD.
I spend more time reading and posting in GD, but if it went away, I'd still visit arfcom daily. |
Yes. And I’d be even more inclined to come if accounts without memberships were completely eliminated.
I’m sure Brownells likes the traffic on the site, and I know we have some conscientious objectors who are long time paying members who decided not to renew. But this place is flooded with shitbird trolls with no skin in the game and it shows. |
When Ed "promoted" me from mod to staff he moved me from optics into the GD.
I asked him what I did to piss him off. |
Nope. I have too many guns and won’t be buying more, so really nothing to research.. I’m just here for the entertainment.
