I've left jobs before when they wanted me to do unscrupulous things.
Which leads to the question: Would you work for Disney? |
I have worked for “The Rat” in the past.I don’t think I’d do it again. lol
Not anymore. There was a time I’d have considered it, 20+ years ago.
If I was offered a senior management job with the full authority to right the ship, yes.
Otherwise, no. |
So, do I have to be gay or can I just play like I'm gay and walk funny? Of course, I would have to train down a bit.
No. Heard horror stories from college kids working there. Reading the fine print and doing research ahead of time could have prevented this for them, but they know most kids that age won’t and take full advantage of it.
Nope, nope, nope, to old to deal with that many snotty kids and entitled asshole adults. Not to mention their political .

No no but FUCK NO!
I used to work with a girl who'd worked at Disney World before. She said it was awesome at first. It was basically like being on vacation for the 1st week. Then, reality set in and it was like a nightmare scenario of jobs. She said the constant smiling, no matter how shitty your feeling or even if you've just thrown up in your mouth, was the worst part. She said they didn't care how bad you felt, how sick you were, or what was going on in your private life. You work for them, you're there for your assigned shift regardless or you're fired. You're a girl and your period just started while you're out in the park greeting customers? Too bad. You deal with it running down your leg until your break/lunch time. You just threw up? Too bad. Get back to work until your break/lunch time. So yeah, FUCK a place like that. |

When I was in college I wanted to work there, and several of my friends and classmates did eventually end up there. Many quit and moved on to greener pastures but I still know a few people at various levels of production at Disney and Pixar. I was actually talking with one of them a few months ago when they were contemplating quitting and going to work elsewhere in the industry. They were basically lamenting how drastically the culture of the company has changed in the last ten years. I would not call this person a conservative, but when even they are scared to say things at work for fear of being fired or even worse what she calls "mothballed" when they remove you from the big projects everyone wants to work on and shove you in a corner somewhere to spin away at nothing until you eventually quit or get laid off in a purge.
I think George Lucas summed them up the best: "Disney are white slavers". |
Fuck no. I left a job due to a relatively not so bad involvement in ESG. They weren't doing anything near what Disney does and it still made me uncomfortable.
Anymore, I think pretty much every Fortune 500 corporation does unscrupulous things.

Team Rat?
That's a big negative, Ghost Rider. Quoted: Can I be in the Mickey Mouse costume? View Quote Sure. In August. In Orlando. |

Do I get to bang a hot princess that’s a naturally born woman?

I lived in Burbank where Disney HQ is. Jobs at that place always seemed temporary and not many Disney people I talked to liked their job. I worked at Lockheed and that was considered the best employer in the area.

If I was bored and able to take a position where I would be able to subtlety influence the creative and/or political direction of the company then sure.
I would also do it if I got to be the animator that hides dicks in the backgrounds of their movies. That guy is a legend, whoever he is. |

This was some time ago but I interviewed with them for a maintenance/refrigeration repair job at the park. The interview process was getting weird to the point where I just told them I didn't want the job. Was super creepy cult like. People smiled all the time and spoke some weird positive encouragement language.

Let's just say I know several people who have done Disney U. They all have done well after they left The Mouse and got out on their own.
Disney's policies on 3rd party social media are a moving target. |
I have worked for Disney in the past as a contractor. I’m not inclined to do it again, as their woke bullshit was irritating 15 years ago and I imagine it’s exponentially worse now, but I’d be willing to entertain an offer if:
1) it’s an absurd amount of money, 2) I’m not being asked to produce anything that violates my ethics & morals, and 3) all requirements of my work product and performance are strictly limited to quality and aesthetics. |

My wife gets a retirement check from the mouse every month. It spends good.
I doubt I would survive a week without dumping a soda over someone's head.
Fuck Disney.
When those assholes fired all their AMERICAN programmers for Patels I said I would never do business with them. |
Depends on what the position was and whether I thought I could make a difference in that position to help that once great company become great again.
I sure wouldn't sign on to help them push their LGBTQ agenda. |

Quoted: I've left jobs before when they wanted me to do unscrupulous things. Which leads to the question: Would you work for Disney? View Quote It would all depend on how much they wanted to pay. I suspect w/ all the bullshit you'd have to put up with the number would have to have a large number of zeros before the . (and have some non zero numbers before the zero before someone suggests 000000000000000. ) |

Native Floridian here and I won't even visit Mouse World. Fuck disney!

I used to think I wanted to be an Imagineer, but I eventually realized that I wouldn't want to vacation where I worked.
20 years ago, before I woke up, I probably would have jumped at the chance
Now I'd rather go broke... |
They probably have gay parties and force you to suck a dick or take it in the ass so no I would not work there.
I know about a dozen people that have worked at Disney World.
Only one of them liked it and he was a Director. The rest hated it. |

Who the fuck would want to work for a Satanic company like Disney?
