I'd like to say '76 F-250 highboy with an EFI 460
But I think I'd get more use out of a brand spanking new  2021 platinum edition diesel F-250 crew cab.

I'd get a 2021 VW Jetta GLI Autobahn DSG
2 year/20k mile service and 4yr/50k mile warranty would cover me through most of the original ownership requirements.

Since I can still drive on trails, I'd take a clone of Bigfoot #2.

The vehicle will be given to you free of charge, but:

1. It cannot be sold, traded, rented, etc. Nor can any components.

2. It must be your primary vehicle for five years, at least 87% of the miles you drive will be done with this, or you forfeit ownership. After five years you can drive it as much or little as you desire.

3. You must cover all expenses - fuel, insurance, maintenance, repairs, etc.

4. The vehicle will given to you with any modifications that you request.

What would you choose?

Most likely I'd go for something like this, with all modern components. I probably wouldn't go quite that low though.

LS engine, modern brakes, suspension, etc.

That is a nice truck and all but you would think they could line up the molding from the cab to the bed.

I had a 1970 C20 Longhorn when I was a kid. Wrecked it on the way to my first duty station (drunk driver ran out in front of me). I'd love to have that again. And none of the hipster low rider shit

The XLT 302A is a great value, and it's the one you buy when you are spending your own money.

But why stop there when someone else is paying the bill? Why not a King Ranch, Limited, Platinum, or Raptor?

I would love the Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6, but I'd bet insurance, maintenance, and repairs are gonna be a bitch.

So I'll take the next best thing, 2021 Ford F150 Limited with a BDS lift kit and some nice wheels.

A Gurkha LAPV was my first thought. I'll take mine in black with a black leather interior

Edit: I make a lot of short trips, so I guess I need to specify that the 6.7 needs to be deleted as well. Don't wanna be clogging up a stupid expensive DPF

Any vehicle ever made?

How about a fully loaded SSN-23 Jimmy Carter Seawolf class fast attack submarine?

With one of those, I'm sure I could find work to hire a crew and pay the bills. Would need some comfort modifications though if I'm gonna live on it for 5 years.
