A massive gun ban gets passed, and its wording is bizarre, as a result almost all guns in private hands are banned, however, due to loopholes, every citizen gets to have 2 guns, ANY 2 guns of their choosing, and they are provided free of charge from the gov, " militia loophole"... these guns are exempt from all federal, and all local laws.. for example, you can travel with them to any state, or city, and can deer hunt with a belt fed...

what 2 guns would you choose, to cover all situations?

guess my base gun would be a glock... ccw, self defense etc.

In that scenario my choice is simple. I only have unwavering sentimental attachment to two firearms, both being Ruger .22LRs.

I guess I'll have to use a sharp stick to hunt deer.

Edit:
Have 12.5 and 16 5.56, 16" 22lr spikes and factory 10.5" 300 Blackout.
Working on getting a Grendel barrel soon.

The 300 with SDN-6 on it shooting 200 grn subs is every bit as quiet as my MP5 with QD3K shooting 147 subs. With a better ballistic coefficient.

Colt Trooper 4 inch 357. Rem. 700 in .308.

Both can handle huge round counts, and are relatively simple to repair. Both can be loaded up or down to cover a wide variety of applications.

Or, instead of the Rem 700, one of those over under weapons, with a shotgun barrel and a rifle barrel so I would effectively get three weapons.
