The Bottle you buy most of the time.
I accidentally left off Rye and Canadian from the poll... Sorry! |

Poll Fail. No Deutsch Whiskey. I love Bavarian Single Malt, but it's hard to find here so...
Makers Mark or Old Forrester (when i can find the 100 proof) |
|
Based on the $100 dollar bottle thread last week...I took Keith J's recommendation to try some Jim Beam White label (yes, bourbon).
No complaints and have zero issues keeping the extra scratch in the bank...Very drinkable with just one small cube of ice... Reported at $20 for 1.75L Found at $34 for 1.75L |

Was a single malt scotch guy for years, but I am slowly getting into bourbon and rye whiskey.

There's a difference between what I buy all the time and what I would want to buy, if I had the funds.
While I buy mostly bourbon, I would most certainly drink good scotch if given the choice, more often than not.

That shit's gone up about $10 a bottle to close to $35 a fifth around here. I do still love it so. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Evan Williams Single Barrel I'm cheap, I know. That shit's gone up about $10 a bottle to close to $35 a fifth around here. I do still love it so. Just bought a bottle for 22.95. |

I would trade every bottle in my collection (including Macallan 30) for a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 23.

Why no Rye option? Eta...you said you forgot.
Irish WhiskEy ftw...to be more precise Jameson 12yr. |
|
Stranahans Whiskey or a good single malt scotch every 3 months or so. In fact, I can buy one friday

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof (134)
Eagle Rare Elijah Craig 12 Year Weller 107 Proof Larceny in that order |
|
Dalwhinnie and Canadian Club are my two most frequent purchases. Bulleit rye would be third.
|
|
Bourbon, almost any bourbon and I like to switch off. Try a bottle of Angel's Envy if you want to try something very mellow.
|
|
I like single malt scotch, but for the price of mediocre scotch I can get some very nice bourbon, so that is usually the choice.

You know gin rum tequila and vodka drinkers are not even looking at this thread because of the title.
I like bourbon, rye, and single malt. But I buy gin more often - martinis and g&t |
